Troubleshooting

How to fix Jazztel not working

Jazztel is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach jazztel.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

  1. Toggle Jazztel data

Switch off Wi-Fi and test over mobile data, then switch mobile data off and test over the home Wi-Fi. On iPhone, use Settings > Wi-Fi and Settings > Mobile Service; on Android, use Settings > Network & internet > Internet.

  2. Restart the Jazztel router

Power-cycle the router before changing settings. Unplug its power cable for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait until the internet or fibra light and the Wi-Fi light settle before testing again.

  3. Forget the home Wi-Fi

Remove the saved Wi-Fi network and join it again with the key printed on the router label, unless you changed it. On iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi > information button next to the network > Forget This Network; on Android, go to Settings > Network & internet > Internet > gear next to the network > Forget.

  4. Check the Jazztel APN

If mobile data fails but calls still work, check the APN before you reset the phone. On Android, open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > Jazztel > Access Point Names and set the APN to jazzinternet if it is blank or different. On iPhone, use Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings; this also removes saved Wi-Fi passwords.

While Jazztel is down: what to use instead

  • Mi Jazztel app If the website will not load, the app may still let you check bills, data use, and line details from mobile data.
  • Customer area on jazztel.com If the app stalls, try the web customer area from a browser, because sign-in problems can affect one channel before the other.
  • Backup connection A mobile hotspot or public Wi-Fi helps when your fibre line is the part failing and you need to keep working.
  • Another Spanish operator Movistar, Vodafone, or Orange can cover calls and data if you already have a second SIM or another line available.
Same time

Problems at the same time as Jazztel

Since 3 November, all 2 of Jazztel's spikes in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.

When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

A spike is a sharp rise in problem reports from users, as the live pages showed it. Times are Central European time.

About

What happens when Jazztel goes down

Jazztel is a telecom service in Spain for fibre internet, mobile lines, landline calls, and TV add-ons, used by households and small businesses. An outage can cut off home Wi-Fi, mobile data, phone calls, and account access.

Fixed broadband usually shows up first as no internet over Wi-Fi or Ethernet, sometimes with the router reporting no fibre signal. Mobile faults can leave you with no service, stalled data, or calls that fail before they connect. The customer area may also refuse logins or stop loading bills and usage details while the network issue is still being worked on. Problems are often regional or partial, so one address may be down while mobile service or another nearby line still works.

Questions

Jazztel FAQ

Is Jazztel down right now?

The status at the top of this page shows whether user problem reports for Jazztel are above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Those reports are sent by users to a public outage-reporting service; this site does not collect them, and any website check shown here does not decide the status. If the level is normal, test another site on the same connection, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, restart your router or phone, and ask someone nearby on the same network. A failure on one device, one browser, or only your home Wi-Fi points to a local issue.

Why can I open Mi Jazztel but not see my bills or mobile usage?

Account sections can stall while the login page still opens. Log out, close the app, and try the customer area from a browser on mobile data. If the browser works but the app stays blank, update or reinstall the app, because cached account data can get stuck.

I have no Jazztel mobile data in Spain, but calls still work. What should I try?

Toggle airplane mode, then restart the phone so it registers on the network again. Check that mobile data is on, the SIM has signal, and the phone has not been left on Wi-Fi only. If calls work but data still fails, test the SIM in another phone before you change account settings.

What does it mean if my Jazztel fibre router has no internet light?

Check the power cable and the fibre cable first, since a loose connector can cut the line while Wi-Fi still appears on your phone. Restart the router, and restart the ONT too if your setup has a separate fibre box. If every device times out on Wi-Fi and Ethernet, the provider has to check the line.

Why can't I pay or download an invoice in the Jazztel customer area?

Bank card confirmation windows can be blocked by the browser, so try again with pop-ups allowed or use another browser. If an invoice page opens but the PDF will not download, clear the site data and sign in again. When a payment seems to have gone through, check your bank app before retrying, so you do not submit the same payment twice.

How we track Jazztel

The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Jazztel, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Jazztel, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.

When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Jazztel doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
