How to fix Klarmobil not working

Klarmobil is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

1. Refresh the Klarmobil SIM

   Turn flight mode on for 10 seconds, then turn it off and wait for the network name to return. On iPhone use Einstellungen > Flugmodus; on Android use Einstellungen > Netzwerk & Internet > Flugmodus, or pull down Quick Settings and tap Flugmodus.

2. Check the Klarmobil data switch

   Make sure the SIM with your Klarmobil number has mobile data enabled, especially on a dual SIM phone. On iPhone go to Einstellungen > Mobilfunk > Mobile Daten and pick that line; on Android go to Einstellungen > Netzwerk & Internet > SIMs > Mobile Daten and switch it on for that SIM.

3. Reset Klarmobil access points

   If calls work but web pages and the app do not load on mobile data, reset the APN profile rather than typing values from old forum posts. On iPhone use Einstellungen > Mobilfunk > Mobiles Datennetzwerk > Einstellungen zurücksetzen if the button is shown; on Android use Einstellungen > Netzwerk & Internet > SIMs > Zugangspunktnamen, tap the menu, then Auf Standard zurücksetzen.

4. Reinstall the Klarmobil app

   If only the app fails, update it from the App Store or Google Play, then sign in again. If it still hangs after the login screen, delete the app and install it again; then use the Klarmobil help centre contact form at http://www.klarmobil.de/service/kontaktform.php if your account still will not open.

While Klarmobil is down: what to use instead

• Klarmobil website Use the website if the app will not load, especially for account details, invoices, or contract changes.
• Klarmobil contact form Use the contact form in the help centre when login keeps failing but you still need to send a service request.
• Wi-Fi calling apps Use WhatsApp, Signal, or FaceTime over Wi-Fi if mobile data or text messages are the part that is failing.
• Backup SIM Use another German mobile provider’s SIM if you need calls or data and the problem looks like a wider mobile network issue.
