Troubleshooting

How to fix Intesa Sanpaolo not working

Intesa Sanpaolo is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach intesasanpaolo.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

  1. Check Intesa reports first

Read the status line at the top of this page before changing settings. It reflects public outage reports counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours, so a high level points to a wider service problem rather than your phone.

  2. Change the bank connection

Turn Wi-Fi off and try mobile data, because the login page and O-Key Smart approval can stall on filtered office networks. On iPhone, use Settings > Wi-Fi; on Android, use Settings > Network & internet > Internet, then choose another connection.

  3. Update Intesa Sanpaolo Mobile

Install the latest app build before you chase login errors or missing approval prompts. On iPhone, open App Store > profile icon and tap Update beside the app; on Android, open Play Store > profile icon > Manage apps & device > Updates available.

  4. Reinstall the Intesa app

Use this after the quicker checks, because removing the app can make you activate O-Key Smart again. On iPhone, touch and hold the app > Remove App > Delete App; on Android, use Settings > Apps > Intesa Sanpaolo Mobile > Uninstall, then install it again from the official store.

While Intesa Sanpaolo is down: what to use instead

  • Intesa Sanpaolo Mobile If the website will not load, try the mobile app; login and card controls may still work there.
  • intesasanpaolo.com If the app freezes or shows a login error, use the website from a browser and check your accounts there.
  • Payment card For shop payments, use your physical debit or credit card while in-app payments or transfers are stuck.
  • ATM or branch For cash, card PIN changes, or urgent account checks, use an ATM or visit a branch if online banking stays unavailable.

Problems at the same time as Intesa Sanpaolo

Since 3 November, all 6 of Intesa Sanpaolo's spikes in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.

When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

About

What happens when Intesa Sanpaolo goes down

Intesa Sanpaolo is a large Italian bank at intesasanpaolo.com, used by personal customers and businesses for accounts, cards, loans, and investments. When it has an outage, you can lose access to the mobile app, internet banking, card controls, or payment approvals while bills and bank transfers wait.

The mobile app and online banking usually show the first pain, with sign-in attempts timing out or strong customer authentication prompts failing before you reach your accounts. Payments can stall too. Bank transfers, card settings, trading or investment areas, and business banking tools may be affected at different times, so one part can work while another rejects the same login. Problems are often partial or regional in Italy, since branch services, ATMs, cards in shops, and the app do not always fail together.

Questions

Intesa Sanpaolo FAQ

Is Intesa Sanpaolo down right now?

The status at the top of this page shows whether reports are above their usual level, based on reports sent to a public outage-reporting service in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. It is not a direct bank monitor. To see whether the issue is only on your side, try the app and the website, then switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. If one device works while another keeps failing, focus on the app cache, network settings, or your login method.

Why can't I log in to the Intesa Sanpaolo Mobile app?

If the app says the service is momentarily unavailable, wait a little before retrying because repeated login attempts can make troubleshooting harder. Check that the app is updated, then restart the phone and try a different connection. If the website works but the app does not, the problem may be tied to the app session or device registration.

Why am I not getting the O-Key Smart notification?

Open the app by hand, because the approval prompt can appear there even when the push notification does not arrive. Check notification permissions for the app and make sure your phone has a working data connection. If you changed phone or reinstalled the app, you may need to set up the authorization method again through the bank’s normal recovery flow.

Why does a bonifico or card payment look stuck in the app?

Do not send the same payment again until you check the movements list or the payment archive. A confirmation screen can hang while the bank has already received the request. If the app shows a clear failure message, save the wording and try again later from the website or the mobile app.

Where can I get help if online banking keeps failing?

For support or a formal complaint, use the help centre: http://www.bancodinapoli.it/scriptIbve/retail20/RetailBancoNapoli/ita/footer_pagine/reclami/ita_reclami.jsp. Include the time, the device you used, and the exact message shown on screen. That gives support staff something concrete to check.

How we track Intesa Sanpaolo

The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Intesa Sanpaolo, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Intesa Sanpaolo, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.

When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Intesa Sanpaolo doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
