Troubleshooting

How to fix Enexis not working

Enexis is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach enexis.nl over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

  1. Open the Enexis outage overview

If the main site is slow, open https://www.enexis.nl/consument/storingen-en-onderhoud/storingen/storingen-overzicht directly. That page is the official Enexis outage and maintenance overview, so use it before changing your own settings.

  2. Refresh the Enexis page cleanly

On Windows or Linux, press Ctrl+F5 while the Enexis page is open. On a Mac, press Command+Shift+R, because a cached page can keep showing an old error after the site itself loads again.

  3. Clear site data for enexis.nl

In Chrome, open Settings > Privacy and security > Third-party cookies > See all site data and permissions, search for enexis.nl, and remove its stored data. Sign in again if the page asks, since this clears cookies for the site.

  4. Flush your DNS cache

On Windows, open Command Prompt and run ipconfig /flushdns. On macOS, open Terminal and run sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder, then reopen enexis.nl in a new browser window.

While Enexis is down: what to use instead

  • Official status page Use the outage overview if it still loads, since it shows known electricity and gas faults and planned maintenance in the Enexis area.
  • National gas and power outage line Call the national outage line if you smell gas, have a power cut, or need to report a dangerous grid problem while the site is unavailable.
  • Your energy supplier Contact your supplier for bills, contracts, meter readings, or tariff questions, because Enexis does not sell energy to households.
  • Mijn Aansluiting Use Mijn Aansluiting for a new connection or a change to an existing utility connection if the normal Enexis route is not working.
Same time

Problems at the same time as Enexis

Since 4 November, Enexis's only spike in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.

When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

A spike is a sharp rise in problem reports from users, as the live pages showed it. Times are Central European time.

Each bar is the average number of user reports in that hour, or on that day of the week, from 29 days of reports since 5 October 2026. The busiest bar is highlighted. Spikes in reports are left out, so one outage does not set the pattern.

About

What happens when Enexis goes down

Enexis is a Dutch public network operator for electricity and gas, with information and self service on enexis.nl for households and businesses in its service area.

If the site has trouble, the outage overview may fail to load or show old maintenance details, which people tend to notice first during a local grid fault. Contact pages and online forms can time out, so you may be unable to report a problem or request help with meter and connection work. Problems are often regional or partial because the grid work is local, but a website issue can affect everyone trying to reach the same pages. The status here comes from public problem reports in 15-minute windows; for confirmed grid faults use the official status page at https://www.enexis.nl/consument/storingen-en-onderhoud/storingen/storingen-overzicht, and for service questions use the help centre at http://www.enexis.nl/contact.

Questions

Enexis FAQ

Is Enexis down right now?

The status at the top of this page shows whether user problem reports for Enexis are above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. The signal comes from reports sent to a public outage-reporting service; this page does not monitor the service or collect reports itself. For grid faults and planned work, compare it with the official Enexis storingen overzicht: https://www.enexis.nl/consument/storingen-en-onderhoud/storingen/storingen-overzicht. If that page opens on mobile data but not on your home connection, try another browser, clear the cache, and check whether other Dutch utility sites load from the same device.

Why can’t I open the storingen overzicht on enexis.nl?

The outage overview can fail to load if the site is busy, your browser blocks part of the page, or your connection has a local DNS problem. Try mobile data, a private window, or another browser before you assume the grid information is unavailable for everyone. If only that page is broken, use the Enexis help centre: http://www.enexis.nl/contact.

Why does my postcode or house number not show a fault?

The overview is address based, so a fault may not appear if you enter the wrong house number, suffix, or postcode format. Enexis is a Dutch grid operator in parts of the Netherlands, and an address outside its grid area may not match. If your neighbours also have no power or gas, check the official overview again and use the contact page if the address still gives no useful result.

The site says there is planned maintenance, but my lights are still on. Is that normal?

Yes, planned work can cover a street, cable section, or small set of addresses, and the effect can differ by house. Check the address on the notice and the time window shown on enexis.nl. If your supply stops outside that window, treat it as a possible fault rather than normal maintenance.

Can I report a power or gas problem through this status page?

No. This page only reflects reports sent to a public outage-reporting service, and it does not send a fault report to Enexis. Use the official outage overview or the help centre if you need the grid operator to see your issue.

How we track Enexis

The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Enexis, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Enexis, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.

When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. This is separate from Enexis's official status page: user reports tend to show a problem early, while the official page confirms the cause. If the two disagree, check both.
