Troubleshooting

How to fix Eolo not working

Eolo is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach eolo.it over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

  1. Check Eolo reports first

Check the status at the top of this page before changing your kit. It uses only user problem reports sent to a public outage-reporting service, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours, so a higher than usual level can match a line problem outside your home.

  2. Rejoin the Eolo Wi-Fi

On iPhone, open Settings, Wi-Fi, tap the i button next to your home network, tap Forget This Network, then join it again with the Wi-Fi password from the router label. On a Pixel Android phone, open Settings, Network & internet, Internet, tap the gear next to the network, tap Forget, then reconnect.

  3. Power cycle the antenna gear

Unplug power from the indoor router and, if you have a separate small power injector for the outdoor antenna, unplug that too. Wait 30 seconds, plug the antenna power injector back in first, then plug in the router and give it several minutes to register before you test a web page.

  4. Renew the network lease

On Windows 11, right-click Start, choose Terminal, then run these four commands one at a time: ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew, ipconfig /flushdns, ping 1.1.1.1. On macOS, open System Settings, Network, Wi-Fi, Details, TCP/IP, click Renew DHCP Lease, then test again before you change router settings.

While Eolo is down: what to use instead

  • Mobile hotspot Use your phone’s data connection for email, work chat, and small file uploads while the fixed connection is out.
  • TIM A TIM fixed or mobile line can keep a home office online if you already have one available.
  • Vodafone A Vodafone SIM or fixed connection is a fallback for video calls when your main line will not connect.
  • Fastweb Fastweb is another Italian broadband option to use from a second line, workplace, or shared connection.
Same time

Problems at the same time as Eolo

Since 3 November, all 2 of Eolo's spikes in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.

When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

A spike is a sharp rise in problem reports from users, as the live pages showed it. Times are Central European time.

About

What happens when Eolo goes down

Eolo is an Italian broadband provider for homes, shops, and small offices, best known for fixed wireless internet and fiber in covered areas. When it has problems, work calls, VPN access, card terminals, and any voice line tied to the connection can stop behaving.

The access line is often the first thing you notice: Wi-Fi still shows as connected, but pages time out and work tools lose their session. Video calls may freeze, cloud files may stop syncing, and routers can sit online with no usable internet behind them. The MyEOLO app or customer area can also fail to load during account or support issues, although that can be separate from a local line fault. Problems can be regional or partial, especially where a radio site, local backhaul, or a group of nearby customers is affected.

Questions

Eolo FAQ

Is Eolo down right now?

The status at the top of this page shows whether reports for Eolo are above their usual level, counted in 15 minute windows over the last 24 hours. That label comes only from reports sent to a public outage reporting service; any website check shown here does not decide it. To tell if it is only on your side, check another device, compare Wi-Fi and cable, restart the router and the antenna power supply, and try mobile data before changing account settings.

Why does my Eolo Wi-Fi show connected but pages will not open?

That can happen when the home Wi-Fi link is fine but the EOLO internet line behind it is not passing traffic. Check one device near the router and one by cable, because weak indoor Wi-Fi can look like an access problem. Power cycle the router and the outdoor antenna power unit, then wait for the line to register before testing again.

What should I do if the myEOLO app or Area Cliente will not sign me in?

Use the same email or customer code you use for the web Area Cliente, since saved passwords in the app can be stale after a reset. If the login screen loops, close the app and try the browser version; if that works, update the app before signing in again. A password reset is safer than repeated attempts, because some account systems slow down or block logins after too many failures.

Why are my Eolo invoices or payments not showing in the customer area?

Billing pages can fail while the internet line still works, because the customer area uses account systems outside the home connection. Open the invoice section from a browser and the myEOLO app, using mobile data for one test if your home line is suspect. If a payment has been made, keep the receipt and avoid paying twice until the customer area updates.

My Eolo connection drops during storms or after wind, is that an outage?

EOLO lines often use an outdoor antenna, so a local radio link problem can feel the same as a wider outage. Check whether the router has lost the WAN or internet light, and look for obvious power issues around the antenna supply without moving the antenna. If nearby customers also have trouble and this page shows raised reports, the fault is less likely to be inside your home.

How we track Eolo

The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Eolo, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Eolo, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.

When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Eolo doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
