Fur Affinity outages and problems
In the past 24 hours, 33 user reports came in for Fur Affinity. Counting only the 15-minute windows with a spike big enough to count as an outage, that comes to 100.00% uptime for the day.
The busiest 15-minute window had 11 reports, about 5 hours ago. That stays below our outage threshold, so it doesn't count as downtime.

How to fix Fur Affinity not working
Fur Affinity is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach furaffinity.net over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Hard refresh the broken page
Press Ctrl+F5 on Windows, or Cmd+Shift+R in Chrome or Firefox on Mac, while the failed submission or note is open. A stale cached copy can keep one page failing while the gallery and watchlist still load.
Open a private window
Use Ctrl+Shift+N in Chrome or Ctrl+Shift+P in Firefox, sign in, and load the same gallery page. If it works there, an extension or saved cookie is the likely cause; disable extensions one at a time or clear site data for Fur Affinity.
Clear cookies for notes and favorites
In Chrome, open Settings > Privacy and security > Delete browsing data; pick Cookies and other site data, then clear data for All time. Firefox uses Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data. Sign back in and retry notes or favorites, because a bad login cookie can make those actions fail while public pages load.
Flush DNS or switch networks
If every page fails on one device while other sites work, switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data or reboot the router. On Windows, run Command Prompt as administrator and type ipconfig /flushdns; on macOS, run sudo dscacheutil -flushcache and sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder in Terminal. Then reload the main page and try a submission again.
While Fur Affinity is down: what to use instead
- SoFurry Use SoFurry if you want to post art and writing in another furry community until the service is back.
- Weasyl Use Weasyl if you need a furry art site with galleries and journals for your work.
- Inkbunny Inkbunny is a furry art site that accepts adult work, so it helps if that is what you need to post.
- DeviantArt DeviantArt works as a broader art gallery when you want to post a piece outside furry-specific sites.
Problems at the same time as Fur Affinity
Since 28 October, Fur Affinity's only spike in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.
When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

What happens when Fur Affinity goes down
Fur Affinity is a furry art community where artists post galleries and take commissions, and fans follow creators through watches and notes. An outage interrupts posting art or loading galleries, and it cuts off notes and commission conversations.
The status at the top shows whether user problem reports sit above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours; it does not ping the service or check from other locations. When the service breaks, gallery pages hang first, thumbnails go blank, uploads stall, and the submission form times out. Notes and forum posts may fail to send, while login sessions drop and commission details stop loading. Trouble can be regional or partial because reports stack up from one ISP or one page type rather than from a service-wide check.

How we track Fur Affinity
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Fur Affinity, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Fur Affinity, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Fur Affinity doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
