How to fix Bredband2 not working
Bredband2 is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach bredband2.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Check Bredband2 reports
Check the status line at the top of this page before changing cables. It is based only on public user reports counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours, so it cannot test your line, but a raised level means others are reporting trouble too.
Restart the fibre box
Unplug power from the fibre media converter and from the Wi-Fi router. Wait 30 seconds. Plug the fibre box in first; when its link light has settled, plug the router back in.
Bypass home Wi-Fi
Connect a computer to the router with an Ethernet cable, and switch Wi-Fi off on that computer. On Windows, open Terminal and run `ping 1.1.1.1`; on macOS, open Terminal from Applications > Utilities and run `ping -c 4 1.1.1.1`. If cabled ping replies work while wireless browsing fails, the fibre connection is probably up and the local wireless setup needs attention.
Renew the network lease
On Windows, right-click Start, choose Terminal, and run `ipconfig /flushdns` followed by `ipconfig /renew`. On macOS, open System Settings > Wi-Fi > Details > TCP/IP and click Renew DHCP Lease. If only one iPhone is affected, use Settings > Wi-Fi > your network > Forget This Network, then join the network again with the router password.
While Bredband2 is down: what to use instead
- Mobile hotspot Turn on a hotspot from a phone with Telia, Tele2, Telenor, or Tre when your fixed broadband is out and you need basic internet access.
- Mobile network calls Use normal mobile calls instead of Wi-Fi calling if the home connection has dropped but your phone still has coverage.
- Work or public Wi-Fi Use a workplace, library, or café Wi-Fi connection for short tasks while you wait, but avoid sensitive logins on open networks.
- Offline apps Keep working in downloaded mail, documents, or streaming downloads if only the Bredband2 connection is down and the device still works.
Problems at the same time as Bredband2
Since 3 November, all 2 of Bredband2's spikes in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.
When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

What happens when Bredband2 goes down
Bredband2 is a Swedish telecom provider for fixed broadband, mostly fibre, used by homes and businesses. An outage can interrupt work calls, streaming, card terminals, and IP telephony on connections that depend on it.
Wi-Fi can look fine. Your device may stay connected to the router, while pages time out and video apps stall because the broadband link has failed. On a wired connection, the router may have power and local network access while the internet side is dead or unstable; if you use its IP telephony, calls can fail or drop. Because Bredband2 uses local fibre networks across Sweden, problems can be regional or limited to one building, while mobile data or another provider still works.

Tip: Bredband2 doesn't list a public status page that we know of, so its help centre and the report chart on this page are the best places to check.
How we track Bredband2
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Bredband2, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Bredband2, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Bredband2 doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
