How to fix Globoplay not working

Globoplay is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach globoplay.globo.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

Restart the Globoplay app
Close the app fully before you try the same episode again. On Android, open Settings > Apps > Globoplay > Force stop; on iPhone, open the app switcher and swipe the app up.
Refresh your Conta Globo login
Sign out, close the app, then sign back in with the same Conta Globo you use for the service. In a browser, go to globoplay.globo.com, select your profile icon, choose Sair, and log in again.
Clear Globoplay cache
Bad local data can leave the video spinning or return you to the sign in screen. On Android, open Settings > Apps > Globoplay > Storage & cache > Clear cache; in Chrome, open chrome://settings/siteData, search for globoplay.globo.com, and remove that site data.
Reinstall Globoplay
If the app still opens to a black screen or will not start playback, remove it and install a fresh copy. On iPhone, use Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Globoplay > Delete App, then install it again from the App Store; on Android, use Settings > Apps > Globoplay > Uninstall, then install it again from Google Play.

What happens when Globoplay goes down

Globoplay is Globo's streaming service in Brazil, with novelas, series, live Globo programming, and some sports or event streams depending on the account and region. People rely on it through the web player, Android app, iPhone app, and TV apps, so an outage can stop both catch-up viewing and live channels at home.

Playback usually shows the first pain: the video spins, stops after ads, throws a cannot-play message, or drops back to the title page. Login and profile screens can also fail, so you may get bounced back to the sign-in page even though your subscription is fine. Live TV is more sensitive than the catalog, because a broken stream or regional feed problem can affect one area while on-demand episodes still open elsewhere. On TVs and casting devices, the app may hang on the logo, lose audio, freeze controls, or reject playback while the phone app still works.

Why does the Globoplay app open but the video stays black on my TV?

Start with a full restart. If audio plays but the picture stays black, update the TV software and the app, then open the same title again. A failed cast session can also leave the screen blank, so play from the TV app instead of casting.

Why can I watch Globoplay on my phone but not on my smart TV?

That points to the TV app more than the account. Sign out on the TV and sign back into the same Conta Globo you use on the phone. If the login screen loops, reinstall the app and check the TV date and time settings.

Why does Globoplay say a video is not available in my region?

Some live Globo content and licensed titles are limited by where the device appears to be. Turn off VPN or proxy tools, then reload the app or browser. If you are traveling outside Brazil, the catalog and live feeds may change.

Why is my Globoplay subscription still locked after I paid?

Access is tied to the Globo account that bought the plan. Check that the app is signed into the same email used for the payment, especially after a TV login code or app store purchase. If the charge has posted but access stays locked, look for a restore purchase option or manage the plan from the account area.
