Troubleshooting

How to fix Globe not working

Globe is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach globe.com.ph over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

  1. Toggle Globe mobile data

Turn Airplane mode on for ten seconds, then off. Confirm Cellular Data is enabled in Settings > Cellular on iPhone or Mobile data is enabled in Settings > Network & internet > Mobile network on Android, and restart the phone.

  2. Check your GlobeOne balance

Open the app and sign in; the data balance and account status sit on the dashboard. Use Wi-Fi to open it if mobile data fails. A zero balance or a suspended account stops mobile data even when the signal bars look normal.

  3. Reset the Globe APN

On most Android phones, open Settings > Network & internet > Mobile network > Access Point Names and choose Reset to default from the three-dot menu. On iPhone, open Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Network and tap Reset Settings if it appears. Restart the phone after either change.

  4. Test the Globe SIM in another phone

Move your SIM to a second unlocked phone and turn mobile data on; if the same no-service or no-internet message follows the SIM, the problem is on the line or SIM side. If the second phone works, the fault sits in your original handset settings or hardware.

While Globe is down: what to use instead

  • Smart SIM Use a Smart SIM in a spare phone or as a hotspot when mobile data or calls fail on your usual line.
  • DITO SIM A DITO SIM gives you a second mobile data and call route when the first carrier has no usable signal.
  • Viber or Messenger over Wi-Fi These apps keep you reachable when mobile voice and SMS drop, as long as you have a working internet connection.
  • Globe website Open the site in a browser when only the app is failing; it lets you check account details or pay without the app.

Same time

Problems at the same time as Globe

Since 28 October, all 11 of Globe's spikes in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.

When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

A spike is a sharp rise in problem reports from users, as the live pages showed it. Times are Central European time.

About

What happens when Globe goes down

Globe is a Philippine telecom provider, and mobile subscribers and home broadband customers rely on it for calls, texts, mobile data and home internet; the status at the top of the page shows whether user problem reports are above their usual level in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours and does not test the network itself. A failure cuts those services, so work calls and payments stall until the connection returns.

Calls and texts often fail first; data may show full bars and still time out, and the Globe One app can fail to load your balance or account details. Home broadband goes offline, and the modem may show a red LOS light. Problems are often regional or partial; one area or one service type can fail while nearby areas stay online.

Questions

Globe FAQ

Is Globe down right now?

The status at the top of this page shows whether user problem reports for Globe are above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Normal reports usually point to your own connection rather than the network, so test another device on the same line and see whether it fails the same way. Restart your phone or modem first. Then try a different network, like Wi-Fi or a second SIM, to see if the problem follows the device or the line.

Why does my Globe mobile data show full bars but nothing loads?

Full bars only tell you the radio link is there, not that data is moving. Toggle airplane mode off and on. Then load a plain web page instead of an app, since some apps fail on their own. If nothing loads on any site, open the Globe One app and confirm your data promo or allocation is still active.

The Globe One app won't log in. What can I try?

Most login failures come from a stale password or a one-time PIN that never arrived. Reset the password inside the app and check that your phone can receive texts from other senders, because a full inbox or a spam filter can block the PIN. Clear the app cache or reinstall it, then try again on mobile data.

My Globe at Home prepaid WiFi has a WiFi signal but no internet. What should I check?

A working WiFi light only means the modem is broadcasting; the uplink can still be dead. Restart the modem and check the fiber or LAN cable for kinks, then look at the indicator lights for a red or off status. If your phone on mobile data works fine, the fault sits at the line or the modem. Report it through the Globe One app.

I paid my bill but the Globe One app still shows an unpaid balance. What now?

Payments often take a day or two to post. Keep the receipt or reference number, then check the balance again before you pay a second time, since the app can lag behind the payment channel. If the balance stays put after a few days, send the receipt to support through the app and ask them to trace it.

How we track Globe

The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Globe, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Globe, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.

When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Globe doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
