How to fix Battlefield not working

Battlefield is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

  1. Restart Battlefield

    Close Battlefield fully, then start it again. If it still cannot connect, restart your PC or console before launching the game.

  2. Check for a game update

    Open Battlefield in your platform's game library and check for updates. Install any available update, then try joining a match again.

  3. Clear the EA app cache

    On PC, open the EA app menu, choose Help, then App Recovery, then Clear cache. The app will restart; launch Battlefield again afterward.

    On Xbox, open Settings > General > Network settings > Test network connection. On PS5, open Settings > Network > Connection Status > Test Internet Connection; if the test fails, restart your router and test again.

What happens when Battlefield goes down
