How to fix Gigstreem not working
Gigstreem is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach gigstreem.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Check the Gigstreem Wi-Fi name
Open Wi-Fi settings and confirm your device is on your apartment or home network, not a neighbor, guest, or mobile hotspot network. On iPhone use Settings > Wi-Fi; on Android use Settings > Network & internet > Internet; on Windows use Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi; on Mac use System Settings > Wi-Fi.
Restart the Gigstreem router
Unplug the power cord from your router, and unplug the fiber box or modem too if you have access to it. Wait 30 seconds, plug the fiber box or modem in first, then plug the router back in and give Wi-Fi a few minutes to return.
Forget and rejoin Wi-Fi
Remove the saved network, then join it again with the Wi-Fi password from your router label or account paperwork. On iPhone tap Settings > Wi-Fi > info button > Forget This Network; on Android use Settings > Network & internet > Internet > saved network > Forget; on Windows use Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks > Forget; on Mac use System Settings > Wi-Fi > Details > Forget This Network.
Reset the device network stack
If only one computer fails while phones or tablets work, clear its network settings before blaming the connection. On Windows, open Command Prompt as administrator and run ipconfig /flushdns, then netsh winsock reset; on Mac, open Terminal and run sudo dscacheutil -flushcache followed by sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder, then restart the device.
While Gigstreem is down: what to use instead
- Cellular hotspot Use your phone’s hotspot for email, calls, or light work if your mobile plan allows tethering.
- Public Wi-Fi A library, hotel lobby, or coffee shop connection can cover a short download or video call, but keep sensitive account work off shared networks unless you use your own VPN.
- Office or school network If you have access to an office, campus, or shared workspace, it can handle meetings and larger uploads better than a phone hotspot.
- Another home ISP If your building allows it, a cable, fiber, or 5G home internet provider at your address can be a longer backup when the outage drags on.
Problems at the same time as Gigstreem
Since 4 November, Gigstreem's only spike in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.
When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

What happens when Gigstreem goes down
Gigstreem is a US telecom provider that sells internet service, often for homes, apartments, and business properties. Residents, remote workers, property staff, and small offices rely on it, so an outage can cut off Wi-Fi, wired internet, streaming, and work calls.
The first sign is often a device staying connected to Wi-Fi while pages, apps, and video services stop loading. Work VPNs, video calls, and cloud tools may fail next because they need a steady route out to the internet. In a larger fault, the network name may disappear or a router may show no internet, so TVs, laptops, and smart devices all lose service at once. Problems can be partial by building or area, since the service often depends on local property equipment as well as the wider network.

Tip: Gigstreem doesn't list a public status page that we know of, so its help centre and the report chart on this page are the best places to check.
How we track Gigstreem
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Gigstreem, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Gigstreem, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Gigstreem doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
