How to fix Faceit not working

Faceit is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Check the official status page
Open the official status page and help centre; if either lists an outage, wait for a fix. When both are quiet, the fault is local.
Restart the browser and router
Close the Faceit tab and the game, then unplug your router for thirty seconds and plug it back in. Sign in again once the connection returns, because a stale session or a bad route can block matchmaking.
Clear browser cookies for Faceit
In your browser settings, find cookies and site data, then remove entries for the site. Reload the page and sign in. This fixes login loops and match page errors.
Reinstall Faceit Anti-Cheat
Quit the game and close your browser. In Windows, open Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find the anti-cheat, and uninstall it. Download it again from a match page, install, then restart your PC and try to join a match.

Fix: Restart the Faceit desktop client and ensure the Faceit Anti-Cheat is updated and running with administrator privileges. You can also try clearing the client cache or reinstalling the Faceit Anti-Cheat.

What happens when Faceit goes down

Faceit is a competitive matchmaking platform for games such as Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2, and if you are on it, you are there for ranked ladders and daily queues. Every outage lands in the same two places: the queue, and the match you were already playing.

The queue breaks first. The match search spins without filling, or it fills and the room never opens, so you sit in a lobby that refuses to load. Deeper in, the server handoff drags and the anti-cheat client stalls at launch. Most of these failures stay partial: a single region or one game can fail while the rest of the service answers normally, and sign-in problems tend to hit in the same bursts.

Is Faceit down right now?

The status at the top of this page shows whether user problem reports for the service are above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Those counts come from other people's reports rather than from any direct check of the servers. If the level looks normal and you still cannot get into a match, look at the official status page at https://www.faceitstatus.com and then test your own connection: try another site on the same device and switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. When everything else loads and only the app stalls, the trouble is local.

Why does the Faceit anti-cheat block me from joining a match?

Anti-cheat has to be running before you join, and it loads alongside the desktop client, so a stalled or partly closed app leaves you outside the match room with a message about the client not being detected. Antivirus and some VPNs block it from starting properly, which is the usual cause when it works one day and fails the next. Quit the app from the system tray first, then reinstall the anti-cheat component if a full restart does not help. Persistent cancellations and cooldowns are worth a ticket at https://help.faceit.com.

Why does my queue never fill, or why can one party member not connect to the same server?

Queue times stretch out in less populated regions and at higher Elo, where the pool of players who fit your match is thin. If your party can queue together but one person drops at the loading screen, that player's route to the chosen region is the likely problem; they should switch region or restart the client. A long wait with no error usually means not enough people are searching. Try solo queue once to see whether the party itself is the issue.

Why does the app keep signing me out, or why can I not log in with Steam?

Steam handles the sign-in, so a Steam outage or an expired session drops you back at the login screen with nothing useful to read. Signing out of Steam and back in, or clearing the app's cache, clears most of these. If the loop only happens in one browser, switch off the extensions that block cookies and try another. Account trouble that survives all that, including verification, needs a ticket: https://help.faceit.com.

I paid for Premium and my account still looks like a free one. What now?

Your payment clears through the provider first, and a charge that sits pending holds the upgrade back until it goes through, so check the receipt in your email before you assume the money is gone. If the payment reads as complete and nothing has changed, sign out of the app and back in so it pulls fresh account data. A day later with still no Premium means a support ticket, and the payment reference from your receipt is the one thing they need. Do not buy it a second time while you wait.
