How to fix Fastweb not working
Fastweb is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach fastweb.it over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Restart the Fastweb router
For a home line, unplug the FASTGate or Fastweb NeXXt from power for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait for the Internet and Wi-Fi lights to settle before you test a phone and a computer.
Check the Fastweb mobile APN
On iPhone, open Impostazioni > Cellulare > Rete dati cellulare and set APN to apn.fastweb.it. On Android, open Impostazioni, search for Nomi punti di accesso, select the Fastweb profile, and use apn.fastweb.it as the APN.
Renew the computer network
On Windows, open Command Prompt and run ipconfig /flushdns, then ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew. On macOS, open Terminal and run sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder, then disconnect and reconnect Wi-Fi.
Use Fastweb assistance
Open the MyFastweb app and check the Assistenza area for your fixed line or SIM, since account blocks and line work can look like a local fault. If the app will not load, use the help centre at http://www.fastweb.it/myfastpage/assistenza/ from another connection.
While Fastweb is down: what to use instead
- MyFastweb app If the website will not load, try the app on mobile data to check your line and bills.
- Fastweb website If the app hangs, use the website from a browser on another connection to manage your account and payments.
- Mobile hotspot If your home broadband is out, share data from a phone or a spare SIM so work apps and email keep running.
- Another Italian network If you need a backup connection, a SIM from TIM, Vodafone, WINDTRE, or Iliad can cover you while the fixed line is unavailable.
Problems at the same time as Fastweb
Since 3 November, all 11 of Fastweb's spikes in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.
When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

What happens when Fastweb goes down
Fastweb is an Italian telecom provider for fixed internet, mobile service, landlines, and account management through MyFastweb. When it has an outage, people can lose home broadband, mobile data, phone service, or access to billing and support tools.
The first sign is often a page that will not load while the modem or phone still looks connected. Home fibre and DSL faults can stop web browsing, streaming, smart home devices, and fixed voice calls; mobile faults may leave calls working while data stalls, or the other way around. The MyFastweb app and customer area can also fail to load, refuse sign-in, or hang while showing account details. Many Fastweb problems are regional or partial, so one city, access network, or mobile service can be affected while other customers stay online.

Checked from our server in Frankfurt, Germany, less than an hour ago, for www.fastweb.it. A service behind a CDN answers from many data centres, usually the one nearest to you, so these addresses are where its traffic enters, not where its own servers stand. Tip: Fastweb doesn't list a public status page that we know of, so its help centre and the report chart on this page are the best places to check.
How we track Fastweb
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Fastweb, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Fastweb, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Fastweb doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
