Set date and time to automatic
Open your phone Settings and turn on automatic date and time. A clock that is a few minutes off can make the app reject login or show a session error even when your network is fine.
Clear EasyPaisa cache or reinstall
On Android, go to Settings > Apps > See all apps > EasyPaisa > Storage & cache > Clear cache, then reopen the app. If sign-in still fails, uninstall it and install a fresh copy from Google Play or the App Store. Clearing data or reinstalling signs you out, so keep your PIN and registered SIM nearby.
Reset the PIN through OTP
If the app rejects your PIN or shows a session expired message, sign out and use Forgot Password on the sign-in screen to reset it with the OTP sent to your registered mobile number. When the SMS does not arrive, check that the registered SIM is in the phone and request the code again.

EasyPaisa is a Pakistani mobile wallet and branchless banking app that families and small shops use to send money, pay bills, top up a phone, and withdraw cash through an agent. An outage cuts off those daily payments.

Login often fails first, and a balance screen that will not load can make you blame your connection before you blame the app. Sending money may hang at confirmation; bill payments and mobile top-ups can fail after PIN entry, and agent cash withdrawals stall when the terminal cannot reach the service. Outages are often partial. Can I use EasyPaisa through USSD or an agent if the app will not open?

Yes. The USSD menu on your phone and an agent shop both reach the same wallet when the app is down or your handset has no data. Bring your CNIC to the agent, and keep the printed slip until the balance updates in the app. If the USSD menu also fails, the problem is wider than your handset.

Why is my EasyPaisa account blocked or asking for biometric verification?

A block often follows a SIM swap or a biometric check that did not match; the app then limits payments until you verify again. Visit an agent with your original CNIC. Bring the SIM in the phone too, since the wallet ties to that number, and ask what specific check failed if the agent cannot clear the block.

Why do bill payments fail on EasyPaisa while sending money still works?

Bill payments depend on the biller's system as well as the wallet, so a send can work while a top-up or utility payment stalls. Check the consumer number first. If the biller's side is down, wait and retry rather than paying twice. When the amount leaves your wallet but the bill stays unpaid, keep the transaction ID and raise it with an agent.
