How to fix EasyPost not working
EasyPost is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach easypost.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Hard refresh the dashboard
Open easypost.com in the tab that is failing and press Ctrl+F5 on Windows or Linux, or Command+Shift+R on macOS. If the dashboard still shows a blank page or sends you back to sign in, open an Incognito window in Chrome with Ctrl+Shift+N, then sign in there.
Remove EasyPost cookies
In Chrome, open chrome://settings/siteData, search for easypost.com, then click the trash icon for that site. Close all service tabs before signing in again, because an old session cookie can keep a bad login loop alive.
Test the EasyPost API
If your cart, warehouse tool, or script cannot buy a label, test the key outside your app with: curl -u "$EASYPOST_API_KEY": https://api.easypost.com/v2/carriers. A 401 response points at the key or the Authorization header, while a timeout points at your network path or firewall.
Check local HTTPS access
From Terminal or PowerShell, run: curl -Iv https://www.easypost.com and curl -Iv https://api.easypost.com. If those commands fail on your work network but pass on a phone hotspot, disconnect the VPN or proxy and ask your network admin to allow both hosts over HTTPS.
While EasyPost is down: what to use instead
- Carrier websites Buy a one-off label through USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL if you only need to ship a few orders while the API is unavailable.
- Shippo Use it for web labels and tracking if your store can export orders or you can enter shipments by hand.
- ShipStation Use it if your order flow is already connected there, since you can print labels and send tracking updates from its dashboard.
- Store admin Check your ecommerce order screen for built-in carrier labels, which can cover urgent shipments without changing your shipping setup.
What happens when EasyPost goes down
EasyPost is a shipping API used by many U.S. ecommerce teams to buy postage, create labels, check addresses, and send tracking updates. When it has trouble, checkout rates can disappear and packed orders can sit at the label step.
Failures often show up as API timeouts, stalled rate calls, failed label purchases, or tracking updates that arrive late. The dashboard may still load while the shipping work behind it is stuck, so a store can look healthy until someone tries to buy postage. Address verification can reject normal addresses during a bad stretch, and webhooks may pile up instead of reaching your order system. The first break is often carrier rating or postage creation; problems can be partial by carrier or by integration, rather than a full outage for every account.

Checked from our server in Frankfurt, Germany, less than an hour ago, for www.easypost.com. Tip: EasyPost doesn't list a public status page that we know of, so its help centre and the report chart on this page are the best places to check.
How we track EasyPost
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for EasyPost, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for EasyPost, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. EasyPost doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
