Kaplan outages and problems
In the past 24 hours, 7 user reports came in for Kaplan. Counting only the 15-minute windows with a spike big enough to count as an outage, that comes to 100.00% uptime for the day.
The busiest 15-minute window had 1 report, about 24 hours ago. That stays below our outage threshold, so it doesn't count as downtime.

How to fix Kaplan not working
Kaplan is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach kaplan.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Reload and restart
Reload the page (Ctrl+F5, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac), or fully close the app and open it again.
Try another connection
Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. If it works on one and not the other, the problem is your network, not Kaplan.
Update the app
Install the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. Old versions can stop connecting after a server-side change.
While Kaplan is down: what to use instead
- Khan Academy Use its practice questions and videos when you need to keep studying and the app will not open.
- Textbook and notes Open your textbook or saved notes when an online lesson or quiz will not load.
- Local library Borrow a test prep book for paper practice when you cannot reach the online question bank.
- Test maker practice Use the test maker's own practice pages for a timed section when you need a score check before the service returns.
Problems at the same time as Kaplan
Since 27 October, Kaplan's only spike in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.
When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

How we track Kaplan
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Kaplan, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Kaplan, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Kaplan doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
