How to fix DAZN not working

DAZN is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Force quit and reopen the app

Restart your phone and router
Turn your phone or tablet off, wait a moment, then turn it back on. Unplug your router, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, and reconnect to Wi-Fi.

Fix: Disable hardware acceleration in your browser settings if the Dazn video player is blank, and turn off any ad-blockers. Alternatively, try switching from Safari to Google Chrome to stream Dazn.

Fix: Force stop the Dazn app, clear its storage cache in your Android settings, and make sure the app is updated via the Google Play Store. Reinstalling the Dazn app can also resolve persistent playback errors.
Check: Open the Dazn app and check if the home screen displays a connection error or fails to load sports events. If other streaming apps work fine, the Dazn service is likely experiencing issues.

DAZN on iPhone and iPad

Fix: Update the Dazn app from the App Store, restart your iPhone or iPad, and toggle your Wi-Fi connection off and on. If Dazn still won't play, delete the app and reinstall it to clear cached data.
Check: Check if the Dazn app hangs indefinitely on the splash screen or shows a 'Service Unavailable' message. You can also try accessing Dazn via Safari to see if the outage is app-specific.

What happens when DAZN goes down

DAZN streams live sport on a subscription, with football and boxing among the events it carries, and it runs on phones, tablets, smart TVs and consoles. A match or fight night sits behind that login, so an outage interrupts the exact thing you cleared your evening for.

Playback usually breaks first: the stream sits on a loading spinner, drops to a blurry picture, or stops with a playback error asking you to try again. Sign-in can fail at the same time, and you get bounced back to the login screen after entering your details. Sometimes the home screen loads without trouble and only the event you picked refuses to start, which points to a partial fault on one stream instead of a full shutdown. Live rights vary by country, so a fight that fails where you are can play normally somewhere else.

Is DAZN down right now?

Open the official status page for a confirmation, then turn off Wi-Fi and try the same stream on mobile data: if it plays there, the problem sits in your router or your home connection.

Why does DAZN freeze on a black screen while the sound keeps playing?

That pattern points at the display stage rather than the stream itself, and a capture box or an old HDMI cable between the TV and the console can break the copy protection handshake. Pull the extra hardware out and connect the device straight to the TV. Then force close the app and reopen it; if the picture stays black, lower the streaming quality in the player settings so the decoder has less work to do.

Why does DAZN sign me out or tell me I am streaming on too many devices?

Your plan caps how many screens can play at once, and the app also counts phones and tablets you left signed in. Clear out the ones you no longer use from the device list in your account settings. If it still pushes you off mid-match, change your password, because a shared login keeps winning the race.

My DAZN payment failed and the app says my account is on hold. What now?

Most declines start at the bank. An expired card, a fresh 3D Secure check or a block on recurring charges will all stop a renewal, and the account stays on hold until it clears. Update the card in the payment section of your account, then approve the charge with your bank if it asks. You may have to sign out and back in before playback returns.

Why does DAZN say the content is not available in my location?

Rights are sold country by country, so a match that streams in one market can be blacked out in another even when your subscription is active. Crossing a border with the app still signed in is the usual trigger. A VPN rarely fixes it and often breaks playback completely, so watch from a connection in the country your account belongs to.
