How to fix Banorte not working
Banorte is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach banorte.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Restart Banorte Móvil
Close Banorte Móvil from the app switcher, then open it again and sign in once. On iPhone, swipe up from the bottom and pause, then swipe the app card up; on Android, tap Recents and swipe the app card away.
Switch the Banorte connection
Move from Wi-Fi to mobile data, or from mobile data to a trusted Wi-Fi network, then try the same login or transfer again. On iPhone, open Settings > Cellular and turn on Banorte Móvil if the switch is off; on Pixel Android, open Settings > Network & internet > Internet and pick the active network.
Clear banorte.com site data
Use this if banorte.com opens but Banco en Línea sends you back to sign-in or hangs after you enter your credentials. On iPhone, open Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data, search for banorte, then swipe left on the site entry and tap Delete.
Update or reinstall the app
Update first: on iPhone, open App Store > profile icon > Available Updates; on Android, open Play Store > profile icon > Manage apps & device > Updates available. If you delete and reinstall Banorte Móvil, expect to set up app access again, and do this only when you have your card and account details with you.
While Banorte is down: what to use instead
- Banco en Línea If Banorte Móvil will not open or gets stuck after login, try the web banking site from a browser for balances and transfers.
- Debit or credit card For store payments, use your physical card while app transfers or card controls are unavailable.
- ATM or branch Use an ATM or branch for cash, deposits, and account help when the app or site cannot finish the action.
- Another Mexican bank app If you also bank with BBVA México, Santander México, or Citibanamex, send a SPEI from that app instead of waiting on the broken session.
Problems at the same time as Banorte
Since 3 November, all 2 of Banorte's spikes in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.
When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

What happens when Banorte goes down
Banorte is a Mexican bank with personal and business accounts, cards, loans, and insurance tied to its branch and digital banking network. People in Mexico rely on it for payments and transfers, so an outage can interrupt everyday money movement.
During trouble, Banorte Móvil and online banking are usually where people notice it first. The app may reject login, hang after the password or token step, show old balances, or display a message asking you to try again later. Transfers can fail or stay pending, and card payments may be declined even when the account has funds. Problems are often partial, with one channel affected while ATMs or card purchases still work, and reports can cluster by region or by bank service.

Tip: Banorte doesn't list a public status page that we know of, so its help centre and the report chart on this page are the best places to check.
How we track Banorte
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Banorte, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Banorte, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Banorte doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
