How to fix MyChart not working
MyChart is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach mychart.org over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Close MyChart and reopen it
Close MyChart from your phone's app switcher, then open it again; if the sign-in screen spins or the app sits on a blank screen, switch between Wi-Fi and cellular before you retry. A single bad session or a weak connection can look like a service failure.
Clear MyChart cache on Android
Open Settings > Apps > MyChart > Storage & cache, then tap Clear cache. If the app still crashes at launch, tap Clear storage on the same screen and sign in again.
Reset MyChart password from the sign-in screen
Tap "Forgot password?" on the MyChart sign-in screen, and complete the reset through the email or text message linked to your account. The username link sits on the same screen and sends recovery options.
Reinstall MyChart
On Android, open Settings > Apps > MyChart > Uninstall; on iPhone or iPad, touch and hold the app icon, choose Remove App, then Delete App. Install it again from Google Play or the App Store, then sign in with your username and password.
While MyChart is down: what to use instead
- MyChart website If the app stalls or will not load, sign in through a browser on a computer or phone to reach messages and appointments.
- Clinic phone line Call your clinic's main number for appointment changes or a question that cannot wait.
- Pharmacy phone For a refill or a missing prescription, call the pharmacy that fills your prescriptions; it can sort the issue without the app.
- Urgent care or emergency department If symptoms need care fast, go to urgent care or an emergency department instead of waiting on the portal.

Problems at the same time as MyChart
Since 27 October, all 9 of MyChart's spikes in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.
When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

What happens when MyChart goes down
MyChart is a patient portal for health records, appointments, messages and test results. Patients and caregivers rely on it to refill prescriptions and pay bills, so an outage interrupts those tasks when a clinic visit or paperwork cannot wait.
When the service fails, sign-in breaks first because every feature sits behind the login; you may get a blank page or a message that your username and password cannot be checked. Appointment scheduling and messaging fail next, and test results may not load while prescription refill requests stall after you submit them. Video visits and billing pages can load without the data you need, and problems are often partial. One health system or clinic can go down while another works, and the mobile app can fail while the browser version loads; the status line above shows whether user problem reports for the service are above their usual level in 15 minute windows over the last 24 hours, and the site does not ping, probe, poll or monitor the service or check from multiple locations.

How we track MyChart
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for MyChart, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for MyChart, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. MyChart doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
