How to fix Vimeo not working

What happens when Vimeo goes down

Vimeo is a video hosting and sharing platform for filmmakers and teams. When it goes down, uploads, playback, live events, and embedded players can stop working for you.

During an outage, the first sign is often a video that will not start: the player spins or shows a black frame. Uploads can stall near the end, live streams may freeze or drop, embedded videos on other sites go dark, and comments or privacy settings may fail to load. Why does Vimeo keep buffering on my TV app?

A TV app can stall for reasons that have nothing to do with the service, starting with a weak Wi-Fi signal or an outdated app build. Force quit the app and restart the TV, then try a wired connection or a different network to see if playback improves. If the same video buffers on your phone while other apps stream fine, the issue may be the video's privacy or embed settings, which the uploader controls. Why did my Vimeo upload fail and say the file could not be processed?

Uploads can fail when the file is too large for your connection or the transfer drops mid-upload. Try a smaller export, a wired connection, a current browser, and a stable network; if you use a mobile app, keep the screen awake until the progress bar finishes. Why does Vimeo show a playback error in an embedded player?

Embedded playback depends on the video owner's privacy settings and the domain where the player sits. Why can't I sign in to Vimeo with my email or Google account?
