One New Zealand outages and problems
In the past 24 hours, 68 user reports came in for One New Zealand. Counting only the 15-minute windows with a spike big enough to count as an outage, that comes to 100.00% uptime for the day.
The busiest 15-minute window had 8 reports, about 22 hours ago. That stays below our outage threshold, so it doesn't count as downtime.

How to fix One New Zealand not working
One New Zealand is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach one.nz over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Re-register on the One New Zealand network
Open Control Center on iPhone or Quick Settings on Android, turn Airplane Mode on for ten seconds, then off. Watch the signal bars. Restart the phone if it still shows no service; a fresh network registration often clears a stuck connection.
Check One New Zealand mobile data settings
Open Settings > Mobile Data on iPhone and turn Mobile Data on; on Android, use Settings > Network & internet > Mobile network. Set Network Selection to Automatic so the phone registers on the available network instead of holding a failed manual choice.
Power cycle the One New Zealand router
Unplug the router from power, wait thirty seconds, plug it back in, then check the power and internet lights; if the internet light stays off, reseat the cable from the wall to the router and try a spare cable. A full reboot lets the link retrain before you change any settings.
Reset phone network settings for One New Zealand
Reset network settings if calls and data fail on this handset alone. On iPhone, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings; on Android, check Settings > System > Reset options for the network reset entry. That wipes saved Wi-Fi passwords and Bluetooth pairings.
While One New Zealand is down: what to use instead
- Another mobile network Use a SIM from a different provider in a spare phone to make calls and send texts while your usual mobile connection is unavailable.
- Wi-Fi messaging Send messages through WhatsApp or Signal over a working Wi-Fi connection to reach contacts who use the same app.
- Landline or VoIP Call from a home landline or a VoIP service on your computer when mobile voice is the part that is failing.
- Website instead of app Open the account area in a browser on another connection when the app will not load and you need to manage your account.
Problems at the same time as One New Zealand
Since 28 October, One New Zealand's only spike in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.
When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

What happens when One New Zealand goes down
One New Zealand is a New Zealand telecom provider whose mobile and home broadband networks carry calls and internet traffic. Households and small businesses rely on it, so an outage can cut off a call or leave a home connection dead.
When One New Zealand has a problem, the first sign is often a mobile signal that drops to one bar or vanishes, and calls fail while mobile data stalls. Home broadband can follow: the router shows no internet and pages time out. The status at the top reflects problem reports from you and other people, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours, and it does not come from any ping, probe, poll or check by the site, which never checks from multiple locations. Trouble is often regional or partial; one suburb or one service can be hit while another connection nearby still works.

How we track One New Zealand
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for One New Zealand, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for One New Zealand, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. One New Zealand doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
