Troubleshooting

How to fix Singtel not working

Singtel is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach singtel.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

  1. Check the Singtel report level

The status at the top of this page shows whether problem reports are above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. A high level can point to a wider outage. This site does not ping or monitor the service, so use the phone checks below when the level is usual.

  2. Toggle Singtel mobile data off and on

Swipe down from the top right on iPhone to open Control Center, tap Airplane Mode, wait 10 seconds, then tap it again; on Android, use the quick settings panel. Check that Mobile Data is on afterward. A stale connection can leave the phone showing bars with no internet, so test a page before changing anything else.

  3. Restart the phone and My Singtel app

Close the My Singtel app from the app switcher, then restart the phone. A stuck radio or stale app session can keep the line from reconnecting, so test the same page after the reboot.

  4. Reset network settings on the Singtel line

On iPhone, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. That clears saved Wi-Fi passwords and cellular settings. On Android, open Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth if your phone has that path; menu names vary by maker, so rejoin your Wi-Fi after the restart.

While Singtel is down: what to use instead

  • Home Wi-Fi If mobile data drops, connect to home or public Wi-Fi so messages and email keep moving.
  • Second SIM When calls or data fail on the line, a second SIM from another operator gives you a backup for calls or a hotspot.
  • Web account page If the app will not open, use the web account page in a browser to check your bill or account settings.
  • Bank card For a failed in-app payment or top-up, pay with a bank card where the checkout accepts it instead of retrying in the app.
Same time

Problems at the same time as Singtel

Since 28 October, Singtel's only spike in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.

When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

A spike is a sharp rise in problem reports from users, as the live pages showed it. Times are Central European time.

About

What happens when Singtel goes down

Singtel is a Singapore telecom provider with mobile, home broadband and TV services. A Singtel outage interrupts calls, mobile data, home broadband and TV, which matters if you work from home or depend on the connection for school, payments or emergency contact.

When mobile service goes, data apps stall first: pages time out, messages sit on sending, calls fail, or a video call drops. Home broadband trouble shows up as a router with a fault light, Wi-Fi that connects but has no internet, a video stream that stalls, or a payment app that times out. The TV service can freeze even when another device on the same line still works. Problems can be regional or partial: one area loses mobile data while another still works, or a single service fails while the rest of your connection stays up.

Questions

Singtel FAQ

Is Singtel down right now?

The status at the top of this page shows whether reports are above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. This site does not ping or monitor Singtel itself. Test another app or website on the same connection, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, restart your device, and try a second device; if other things work, the trouble is on your side.

Why is the red light on my Singtel broadband box?

A red light on the ONT can mean the fibre signal is missing, so check the fibre cable at both ends and power-cycle the ONT. The line may need a technician if the light stays red. Test with a mobile hotspot to see whether your devices are fine.

Why can't I log in to the Singtel app?

The app can reject a password after an update or after you change your Singtel ID. Clear the app cache. Check the password in a browser, restart the phone, try mobile data, and contact support if the same message appears in both places.

Why does my Singtel mobile data stop working while calls still go through?

Data can stop while voice works if mobile data is off for the SIM or the APN setting is wrong. Check Settings for the SIM. Toggle airplane mode, restart the phone, try a different app, and reset the APN to the Singtel profile; if calls work but no app loads, contact support.

Why is Singtel TV showing a black screen or buffering?

A black screen can come from an HDMI handshake problem, a stalled set-top box, a loose cable, or a broadband hiccup. Start with the cable. Power-cycle the box and TV, check the HDMI cable, test another channel, and restart the router; if only on-demand buffers, test your broadband with another device.

How we track Singtel

The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Singtel, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Singtel, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.

When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Singtel doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
