Troubleshooting

How to fix Globe At Home not working

Globe At Home is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach globe.com.ph over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

  1. Reconnect your device to Globe At Home Wi-Fi

Open the Wi-Fi settings on the phone or laptop that has the problem, forget the home network, then join the network name printed on the router label. Test another device first. Enter the password with the same capital letters, then load a saved page or app that needs the internet.

  2. Power-cycle the Globe At Home router

Unplug the power adapter from the back of your router, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait 2 to 3 minutes for it to boot, then test the same device again.

  3. Check the Globe At Home lights

Look at the lights marked PON and LOS; a red LOS light points to a fiber signal problem, while a PON light that never goes solid means the router has not registered with the network. Check that the fiber cable is seated in your router's port and not bent sharply.

  4. Test the line with Ethernet

Plug an Ethernet cable from a laptop to any LAN port on the router and turn off your laptop's Wi-Fi. If a wired connection works, the line is up and the problem sits with the affected device's Wi-Fi settings; if it also fails, contact Globe and report the light status and the wired test result.

While Globe At Home is down: what to use instead

  • Mobile hotspot on another carrier A phone on Smart or DITO can keep a laptop online for email and light browsing until the fixed line returns.
  • Mobile data on your phone Your phone can still send messages and load simple pages when only the home connection fails.
  • Public Wi-Fi at a cafe or mall A nearby cafe or mall network gives you a short window online to send a file or finish a form, so save your work before you leave.
  • Offline copies of files and media Saved maps and documents open offline when the line drops.
Same time

Problems at the same time as Globe At Home

Since 28 October, all 6 of Globe At Home's spikes in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.

When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

A spike is a sharp rise in problem reports from users, as the live pages showed it. Times are Central European time.

About

What happens when Globe At Home goes down

Globe At Home is home broadband from Globe Telecom in the Philippines. It runs over fiber or DSL lines, reaches devices through a router and the provider's app, and carries streaming, video calls, online classes and payments that families, remote workers, students and small businesses depend on, so an outage cuts all of that off at the router and on every connected device.

Live video calls and streaming break first, and the WiFi signal can stay connected while pages time out and payment apps fail to load. The network name still appears on phones and laptops, so people keep reloading pages that will not open. Partial faults look different. Some apps load while video calls freeze, or only certain sites time out because the line has packet loss or a local cabling fault, and the trouble can be regional when a neighborhood cabinet or fiber line is cut, though a single home's router, cabling, account status or device setup can cause the same symptoms.

Questions

Globe At Home FAQ

Is Globe At Home down right now?

The status at the top of this page shows whether user problem reports for the service are above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. That reading is report volume only; this site does not ping or probe the service. To check your side, restart the modem, look at its lights, connect a second device, and test your phone on mobile data. If the same failure follows every device on your WiFi, the problem is likely your line or account.

Why does my Globe At Home WiFi show connected but no internet?

Your phone can hold the WiFi signal while the modem has lost its uplink, so the 'Connected, no internet' message usually points to the router or the line. Check the modem lights: a red LOS or missing internet light means the fiber or LTE link is down. Restart the modem, wait for it to settle, then try a second device. If both devices fail the same way, the fault is upstream.

Why does the Globe At Home app fail to load my account or bill?

The app pulls account details over the internet, so a stalled page can come from your phone data or an expired login. Sign out and back in, then try again on mobile data with WiFi off; update the app if an old build is installed. If the bill page still spins while other apps work, the app or account side is the better suspect.

What should I do if my payment posted but my Globe At Home connection is still cut off?

Payments can post before the account system lifts a temporary block, so keep the receipt and note the exact time it cleared. Reboot the modem after a payment because some accounts restore access only after a fresh session. If service stays off, contact the provider through the app or the number on your bill and ask them to check the account status. Do not keep rebooting all day; that just hides whether the block cleared.

Why does my Globe At Home modem show a red LOS light or no internet light?

A red LOS means the modem has lost the optical signal, while a dark internet light often means it cannot bring up a connection. Check the fiber patch cord for a sharp bend, reseat it at the modem, power cycle the unit, and watch the lights again. If the light stays red after that, the line needs a technician; your WiFi settings will not fix it.

How we track Globe At Home

The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Globe At Home, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Globe At Home, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.

When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Globe At Home doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
