How to fix FedEx not working
When FedEx itself is having trouble, these steps won't bring it back, but they will rule out anything on your side:
Your browser tries to reach fedex.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Open FedEx in a private window
Load the FedEx site in a private window with Ctrl+Shift+N on Windows or Command+Shift+N on Mac, then retry the tracking number. If the page loads there, clear cookies and site data for the service in your normal browser and sign in again.
Retry the tracking number in the FedEx app
Open the FedEx app and enter the same tracking number there; if it returns details, the problem is with your browser session. Clear site data for the service in your normal browser and sign in again.
Clear the FedEx app cache on Android
Tap Clear cache under Settings > Apps > FedEx > Storage & cache. If the same screen fails after you reopen the app, use Clear storage and sign in again; this wipes saved app data but can clear a broken state.
Contact FedEx support
If those steps fail, open the help centre at http://www.fedex.com/us/customersupport and use the contact options there. Include the tracking number and the exact wording of any error message you see.
While FedEx is down: what to use instead
- FedEx website Open the website in a browser when the app stalls on tracking or label pages; the desktop flow may still load.
- Customer service phone line Call the phone line when you need an answer about a shipment and the tracking page will not load.
- UPS UPS helps if you need to send a parcel and the pickup or label flow in the app fails.
- DHL DHL covers international shipments when booking through the app keeps stalling.
Problems at the same time as FedEx
Since 27 October, all 4 of FedEx's spikes in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.
When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

What happens when FedEx goes down
FedEx moves parcels and freight for households and businesses. When the service has a problem, you may lose tracking updates and label creation, so a shipment you need to send or follow stalls.
Tracking is usually the first thing to wobble: the tracking page can fail to load, or a valid tracking number comes back with no result while the package itself is still moving. Label creation and rate quotes can stall at the same time, so you may not be able to print a label or confirm a shipping cost. A regional hub problem can break tracking for one area while the rest of the site works. The status at the top counts user problem reports in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours; it does not come from a direct check of FedEx systems, and a partial outage can look large when one feature fails for a busy region.

How we track FedEx
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for FedEx, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for FedEx, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. FedEx doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
