Troubleshooting

How to fix Visible not working

When Visible itself is having trouble, these steps won't bring it back, but they will rule out anything on your side:

Your browser tries to reach visible.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

  1. Check the Visible report level

The note at the top of this page shows whether problem reports for the service are above their usual level; the site does not check the service itself. If reports are high, wait before you change phone settings; if they are normal, move to the next step.

  2. Refresh the Visible connection

Turn airplane mode on for 10 seconds, then turn it off; restart the phone afterward. The phone reconnects to the network, which can clear a stuck call or data session.

  3. Check the Visible line

On iPhone, open Settings > Cellular and check that Cellular Data is on and that the line is selected for Cellular Data and Default Voice Line. On Android, open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs, choose the SIM, and turn Mobile data on; then confirm the same SIM is set for calls and texts.

  4. Reset Visible network settings

On iPhone, open Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. On Android, open Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth, though the path can vary by maker. This clears saved Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections, so you must rejoin them afterward.

While Visible is down: what to use instead

  • Wi-Fi calling When the mobile network drops but Wi-Fi still works, turn on Wi-Fi calling to make calls and send texts from your phone.
  • Account website If the app will not load, sign in through a browser to check your line or payment settings.
  • WhatsApp If cellular service is out and you have Wi-Fi, use it to message or call contacts who also have the app.
  • A second phone When your line has no signal, a phone on another carrier can make the call or send the text you need.

Problems at the same time as Visible

Since 27 October, all 7 of Visible's spikes in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.

When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

A spike is a sharp rise in problem reports from users, as the live pages showed it. Times are Central European time.

About

What happens when Visible goes down

Visible is a US prepaid wireless service on the Verizon network. People rely on it for calls, texts, mobile data, and hotspot use, so an outage interrupts those basics; no official status page or help centre is known, and the status at the top shows whether user problem reports in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours are above the usual level, while the site does not ping or monitor the service itself.

Your phone may drop to SOS only or show no service; calls fail, texts stay unsent, mobile data stalls, and hotspot refuses to start. Signal loss usually comes first. The Visible app can fail to load account details or show an activation error, and trouble is often regional or partial, so one line may lose data while another still sends texts. Check a second device near you.

Questions

Visible FAQ

Is Visible down right now?

The status at the top of this page shows whether user problem reports for the service are above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. It does not test the network or check from multiple locations. To see if the trouble is only on your side, restart your phone and test another device on the same account; if the second device works fine, the problem is likely your handset or SIM.

Why does the Visible app say my payment method was declined?

A declined card often comes from a billing address mismatch or a bank block on recurring charges. Check the card details in your account, then try another card if the first one works elsewhere. If the app still rejects payment, open the support chat in the app and ask the agent to check the payment profile.

Why does my Visible eSIM fail to activate?

An eSIM install can fail when your phone is carrier-locked or the connection drops during setup. Confirm the handset is unlocked and eSIM compatible, then install the profile over Wi-Fi from the app. If it loops or says activation failed, remove the eSIM profile and ask support for a fresh one.

Why is my number not porting to Visible?

A port stalls when the account number or transfer PIN from your old carrier is wrong, or when the old line is locked. Keep the old SIM active until the port finishes, because canceling early can release the number back to the previous carrier. Check the details with the old carrier; if the port stays stuck after a restart, ask support to review it.

Why does my Visible line show bars but no data?

Bars only prove the phone sees a cell signal, so data can still fail if the line is suspended or a VPN is active. Open the app to confirm the account is active, then reset network settings if data still stalls. If a second device on the same account loads data fine, the trouble is with your handset or SIM.

How we track Visible

The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Visible, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Visible, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.

When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Visible doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
