How to fix Aldi Talk not working

When Aldi Talk itself is having trouble, these steps won't bring it back, but they will rule out anything on your side:

1. Reset the ALDI TALK signal

   Turn Airplane Mode on for 10 seconds, then turn it off. On iPhone, open Control Center; on Android, swipe down twice from the top and tap the Airplane mode tile, then test a call and a web page after the carrier name appears.

2. Check the active SIM

   On iPhone with German menus, open Einstellungen > Mobilfunk and turn Mobile Daten on for the Aldi Talk line. On Android, open Einstellungen > Netzwerk & Internet > SIMs, select the ALDI TALK SIM, and switch Mobile Daten on.

3. Refresh the app

   If the network works but the app will not load your balance or sign you in, update it from the App Store or Google Play. On Android, use Settings > Apps > ALDI TALK > Storage & cache > Clear cache; on iPhone, use Settings > General > iPhone Storage > ALDI TALK > Offload App, then install it again.

4. Use the contact form

   If your phone still cannot register on the network, use the ALDI TALK help centre contact form: https://www.alditalk.de/talk/hilfe_service/kontakt/formular.php. Include your phone model, postcode, whether calls and mobile data fail, and the time the problem started.

While Aldi Talk is down: what to use instead

• Mein ALDI TALK on the web If the app will not load, try the customer area on the website to check credit, book options, or change account settings.
• ALDI top-up voucher If in-app payment fails, a prepaid voucher from an ALDI checkout can still help when the mobile network and voucher redemption work.
• Wi-Fi and messaging apps If mobile data is the problem, use Wi-Fi with WhatsApp, Signal, or email until the connection comes back.
