Try a private window
A blank home feed or a spinner that never finishes often comes from a stale cached session. Load the site in a private or incognito window and sign in there. If posts appear, clear cookies and site data for patreon.com in your normal browser and reload.
Confirm which account holds the pledge
Locked posts and a membership that vanished usually mean you signed in under a different email than the one you pledged with. Sign out from the profile menu, sign back in, then open Settings and Memberships to see the active pledge and its tier. Nothing listed means the pledge sits on another account.
Fix the declined payment
A failed card is the usual reason access pauses: open Settings, then Memberships, and replace the card or correct the billing details on the failed one. Banks block recurring charges more often than you would expect after a card is reissued, so call them if the new card fails too. If payment clears and posts stay locked, send a ticket at support.patreon.com with your device and the exact error text.

What happens when Patreon goes down

Patreon is a membership platform where creators publish posts, podcasts and video for paying supporters, and a good share of them earn their main income there. When the service goes down, the transaction breaks first: fans cannot join a tier or renew, and creators lose the posts they had queued for the day.

Patrons usually hit trouble at the paywall first; a card that will not process or a generic error on the join button shows up before anything else does. The post editor then refuses to save, images and audio drop out of creator pages, and a half-written update sits there unsent. Not every platform fails at once. The iOS app and the browser can behave differently for the same account, which points to a partial problem rather than a full shutdown; the status note at the top of this page counts user reports in 15-minute windows over the last day, so it shows that split without testing the service itself.

Is Patreon down right now?

The status at the top of this page shows whether reports are above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. The official status page at status.patreon.com carries confirmation of a platform problem. To rule out your side, load the site on a different network, such as mobile data, and try a second browser or device. If the same page fails everywhere, the trouble is probably not yours.

Why does Patreon say my card was declined when I have money?

Banks block recurring charges for reasons that have nothing to do with your balance. A card that works in shops can still fail on a subscription, so try another one or call your bank and ask them to allow the charge. Patreon retries failed payments, which means a declined pledge may clear on its own after a few days.

Why does the Patreon app crash when I open a video post?

Old app versions crash on large video files. That is the usual culprit. A cache full of half-loaded posts makes it worse, so update the app and clear its cache; on Android, check that storage permission is on, because without it video playback can fail outright.

I cancelled my membership but Patreon still charged me. Why?

Cancelling stops the next renewal. A payment already scheduled can still land days after you click cancel, so check the billing date on your membership page and the receipt email for the exact timing. If the charge came after the date shown, send the receipt to Patreon's help centre and ask them to look at the account.

Why can't I log in to Patreon even after resetting my password?

Password resets fail when the email lands in spam or the address on the account is one you no longer use. Search your inbox for the reset message, then try the link before it expires. If you use two-factor authentication, check that your authenticator app has the right time zone set, because a clock that drifts will reject every code.
