Salesforce outages and problems
In the past 24 hours, 123 user reports came in for Salesforce. Counting only the 15-minute windows with a spike big enough to count as an outage, that comes to 100.00% uptime for the day.
The busiest 15-minute window had 12 reports, about 4 hours ago. That stays below our outage threshold, so it doesn't count as downtime.

How to fix Salesforce not working
Salesforce is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach salesforce.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Reload and restart
Reload the page (Ctrl+F5, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac), or fully close the app and open it again.
Try another connection
Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. If it works on one and not the other, the problem is your network, not Salesforce.
Update the app
Install the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. Old versions can stop connecting after a server-side change.
While Salesforce is down: what to use instead
- HubSpot CRM Open it to check contact records and log a call note if you need the customer history before the main CRM returns.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Use the account view for a quick lookup if your company already runs it.
- Zoho CRM When you only need an address or an owner name, the contact list gives you that without waiting on a loading page.
- Pipedrive A sales team can track deal stages in the pipeline view while the usual opportunity page will not save changes.
Problems at the same time as Salesforce
Since 27 October, Salesforce's only spike in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.
When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

How we track Salesforce
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Salesforce, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Salesforce, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. This is separate from Salesforce's official status page: user reports tend to show a problem early, while the official page confirms the cause. If the two disagree, check both.
