Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play 6v6 hero shooter on PC and consoles, with quick matches, ranked play, hero team-ups, and a battle pass. Players who group with friends or push ranked rely on it, so an outage interrupts queueing and the match you were already in.

Logins and matchmaking tend to fail first: you get stuck at the title screen or the queue timer climbs without a match. If you are already in a match, the connection can drop mid-team fight and the reconnect option may fail, which costs you the round and progress. Ranked and quick play both suffer, but the breakage is often partial. One platform or one region can take the hit while other players keep queueing.
