Fox News outages and problems
In the past 24 hours, 207 user reports came in for Fox News. Counting only the 15-minute windows with a spike big enough to count as an outage, that comes to 100.00% uptime for the day.
The busiest 15-minute window had 10 reports, about 24 hours ago. That stays below our outage threshold, so it doesn't count as downtime.

How to fix Fox News not working
Fox News is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach foxnews.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Refresh the Fox News page
Press Ctrl+F5 on Windows or Command+Shift+R on Mac while the page is open. In the app, swipe the Fox News card away in the app switcher and reopen it; that clears a stuck player or blank feed without changing your settings.
Switch to a stronger connection
Turn Wi-Fi off on your phone for a few seconds, then turn it back on. On a computer, load another site in a new tab; if that fails too, restart the router. Video and live streams stall on weak connections while text pages may still load.
Open Fox News without extensions
Use a private window to test the site; in Chrome press Ctrl+Shift+N on Windows or Command+Shift+N on Mac. If the page works there, disable ad blockers and privacy extensions one at a time, then reload the page after each change. Some blockers stop the video player from loading.
Clear app storage or site data
On Android, open Settings > Apps > Fox News > Storage and tap Clear cache; if playback still fails, tap Clear data. On iPhone or iPad, delete the app and reinstall it from the App Store. In a browser, clear cookies and site data for the Fox News site only, then reload the page.
While Fox News is down: what to use instead
- The Fox News site Open it in a browser when the app stalls; it may show the same stories without the app.
- CNN Use CNN for live video if the app will not load.
- BBC News BBC News gives you world headlines and quick text updates when the app is slow or stuck.
- AP News AP News has a plain feed of wire updates for when you want the story without opening the app.
Problems at the same time as Fox News
Since 27 October, all 2 of Fox News's spikes in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.
When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

What happens when Fox News goes down
Fox News is a news channel and website with a mobile app and live stream. An outage interrupts the headlines and live coverage that readers and viewers depend on for breaking news and politics.
You may see the homepage load while article pages stall or return a blank screen. Video is often the first to fail: the player spins or the live stream drops to a black frame. Push alerts can arrive late or not at all, and the app can show a blank section where headlines should be. Problems often hit one region or one feature rather than the whole service, and the status at the top only shows whether problem reports are above their usual level in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours; it does not ping or probe the service from multiple locations.

How we track Fox News
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Fox News, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Fox News, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Fox News doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
