What happens when Delta Air Lines goes down

Delta Air Lines is a major US airline whose app and website handle booking, check-in, seat selection, and flight status; travelers, business flyers, families, and cargo shippers rely on it to move on schedule. An outage interrupts the trip before the airport, because reservations and check-in stall while mobile boarding passes or gate changes go missing.

The first sign is a login loop or a stalled check-in, and the mobile app may load your itinerary while refusing to open a boarding pass. Flight status often fails next. Seat selection and bag tracking fail because those tools pull from the same account and reservation systems, and airport self-service check-in or bag drop can back up even when the website still shows your reservation. Why does the Fly Delta app fail to load my trip when I open it?

If you are at the airport, switch off Wi-Fi and use mobile data; keep a screenshot of your boarding pass because the app can struggle when the terminal network is crowded.

Can I check in or get a boarding pass on delta.com if the app is not working?

Yes. The website can check you in and show a boarding pass when your reservation is ticketed and check-in is open. Open delta.com in a browser, sign in to your SkyMiles account, choose My Trips, and load the reservation; if the site stalls too, call the airline or use an airport kiosk. Why did my Delta ticket purchase fail with a payment error?

A declined card, a billing address mismatch, a bank hold on the charge, or a mistyped card number can stop a ticket purchase even when the fare is still available. Try a different card first. Then confirm the billing address in your SkyMiles profile, check the card limit, clear any saved card, and avoid refreshing the payment page while the charge is pending. If the bank shows a pending charge, do not buy the same ticket twice; wait for it to clear or call the airline to confirm the booking.

Why does the website keep signing me out when I try to manage my SkyMiles account?
