Dailymotion is a video platform based in Paris, used both to watch videos and to embed players on news and media websites. That second role means a Dailymotion problem often shows up as broken video players on other sites as well as on dailymotion.com itself.
When Dailymotion has trouble, videos hang on the loading spinner, play without sound or stop with a playback error, and embedded players on partner sites go blank.
