How to fix Albion Online not working
Albion Online is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach albiononline.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Restart the Albion client
Quit the game and the launcher, then open Task Manager with Ctrl+Shift+Esc on Windows and end any Albion Online process that stayed open. On iPhone or Android, open the app switcher and swipe the app away before starting it again.
Pick your Albion server
At the login screen, use the server selector and choose the server where your character was made, such as Americas or Europe. If your character list is blank or your ping changed after travel, this setting is the first place to check.
Verify the game files
If you play through Steam, open Steam > Library > Albion Online > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. On iOS or Android, open the game page in the App Store or Google Play Store and tap Update if the store shows it.
Reset DNS before reinstalling
On Windows, open Command Prompt and run: ipconfig /flushdns. Then open Settings > Network & internet > VPN and disconnect any VPN before trying the launcher again. If the same device still fails after the store or Steam check, remove the app and install it again from the same place.
While Albion Online is down: what to use instead
- Steam client Use it if the standalone launcher will not patch or open, but expect the same login trouble if the game servers are the problem.
- Mobile app Try the iOS or Android app if your desktop install is stuck updating, since it gives you a separate client path.
- RuneScape Pick it if you want another long-running MMO to play while you wait, with trading, skilling, and group content.
- EVE Online Use it if you want a player-driven economy and risk-heavy PvP, although the setting and combat feel very different.
What happens when Albion Online goes down
Albion Online is a sandbox MMORPG for desktop and mobile, with a shared world built around combat, crafting, trading, and guild warfare. Players who rely on scheduled group content can lose access to logins, the launcher, market activity, and live fights when the service has problems.
Login often breaks first: the launcher may stall, or the client may reject your login before character select. If a session stays open, zone changes can hang during fights, while inventory actions or market orders may fail to update. The app may send mobile players back to the start screen, and the desktop client may stick on patching before the game opens. Problems can be regional or partial because one platform, login service, game world, or market service can struggle while another still works.

Tip: Albion Online doesn't list a public status page that we know of, so its help centre and the report chart on this page are the best places to check.
How we track Albion Online
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Albion Online, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Albion Online, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Albion Online doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
