  4. Update or reinstall YONO SBI

    Open the Play Store or App Store, search YONO SBI, and install any pending update. If the app still fails at the first screen, uninstall it and reinstall from the same store, then sign in again.

State Bank of India (SBI) is a public sector bank with branches, ATMs, the YONO app, and internet banking; salaried workers, pensioners, small businesses, and merchants rely on it for deposits, payments, transfers, and cash withdrawals. An outage interrupts balance checks, UPI payments, fund transfers, and ATM cash withdrawals when you need money to move.

Login trouble hits first: the YONO app stalls at sign-in, internet banking rejects a password or OTP, a balance screen sits on a loading spinner, and a generic failure message appears. A UPI payment failed but the amount left my account. Will it come back?
A failed transfer normally reverses on its own once the network settles the transaction, and the money returns to the account without you filing anything. Note the reference number from the UPI history screen and give it a working day before you take it to your branch, because sending the payment again can move the money twice.

Why is the OTP not arriving for net banking or a card payment?
SMS delivery is the usual culprit, so check that the registered mobile number is still the one in your phone and that a do-not-disturb setting is not blocking bank messages. Wait out the resend timer rather than tapping it repeatedly, since a pile of pending requests can lock the session. If the one-time password goes to email instead, look in the spam folder.

My SBI debit card is declined at an ATM but works in shops. What is going on?
Chip damage and a worn magstripe explain a lot of these failures, and so does a card that is blocked for one channel while still open for others. Try a second machine and check the card controls inside the app before you assume the bank is down. If both machines refuse it, order a replacement at your branch.
