Troubleshooting

How to fix I3 Broadband not working

I3 Broadband is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach i3broadband.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

  1. Check the I3 Broadband report level

Check the report level first. The top of this page shows whether I3 Broadband reports sit above their usual mark, so a high level means wait and retry while a normal level points to your device or home network.

  2. Test a second device on I3 Broadband Wi-Fi

Try a second device. Open a site on a second phone or laptop while the first device still fails, and note whether both show the same error. If only one device stalls, forget the I3 Broadband network on that device and join it again.

  3. Restart the I3 Broadband router

Unplug the router's power, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, and let the lights settle before you retest. Do not press the reset button. It can wipe your Wi-Fi name and password, and I3 Broadband support can tell you when a reset is safe.

  4. Renew the I3 Broadband connection

On Windows, open Command Prompt as administrator and run ipconfig /release, then ipconfig /renew; on macOS, open System Settings > Network > Wi-Fi > Details > TCP/IP and click Renew DHCP Lease. This clears a bad local address without touching your I3 Broadband account. Call I3 Broadband support if the device still fails.

While I3 Broadband is down: what to use instead

  • Mobile hotspot Turn your phone into a hotspot when a laptop has to stay online for a work call and the home connection drops.
  • Library Wi-Fi Use the library network if you need to send a file or check email and can wait until the building opens.
  • Cellular data Use it for maps.
  • Support phone line Call support if you need an account fix and the website will not load.

Problems at the same time as I3 Broadband

Since 27 October, all 2 of I3 Broadband's spikes in problem reports overlapped a spike at another service.

When several services get problem reports at once, something they share, such as a cloud host or a network, can be the real cause. Matching times alone do not prove it.

A spike is a sharp rise in problem reports from users, as the live pages showed it. Times are Central European time.

About

What happens when I3 Broadband goes down

I3 Broadband is a broadband provider that supplies internet service. You rely on it for work and streaming, so an outage interrupts video calls and downloads; the status at the top of this page shows when problem reports are above their usual level.

Your Wi-Fi light can stay on. Pages stall first, then video calls freeze, streaming buffers, and work apps lose their connection because the router has a local link but no route to the provider. That can hit one street or one neighborhood while the wider network stays up. The status at the top of the page shows when problem reports are above their usual level, and a local problem can push that level up just as a wider outage can.

Questions

I3 Broadband FAQ

Is I3 Broadband down right now?

The status at the top of this page shows whether user problem reports for I3 Broadband are above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Start with your own equipment: restart the router, try a second device on the same Wi-Fi, open a page over mobile data with Wi-Fi off, and check a wired connection if you have one. One device failing points to that device. If every device fails on both Wi-Fi and wired, the service is the probable cause.

Why does my I3 Broadband Wi-Fi drop while a wired connection stays up?

A wired connection that stays up points to Wi-Fi coverage or your router. Start there: move the router off the floor and away from metal and large appliances, then test a laptop close to it. If the drop follows one room or one device, fix that spot or that device. Rebooting the router every hour hides the real problem.

Can I use my own router with I3 Broadband?

Ask before you swap the supplied router, because support may troubleshoot only to the equipment it provides. If you add your own router behind the supplied unit, test a wired connection first and keep the old settings so you can put it back during a call. A bad Wi-Fi setting on your router can look like a line fault.

Why does my I3 Broadband bill show a late fee after I paid online?

A payment made after the due date can post after the late fee is added, so the fee may stay on the account for a billing cycle. Check the payment date and confirmation in your account, then contact billing with that confirmation. Do not send a second payment until you confirm the first one posted.

Why does my I3 Broadband account login keep failing?

A failed login often comes from a password or browser session problem. Try the reset link in a private window, check that caps lock is off, clear the site cookies, and use the same email address on the account. If the reset email does not arrive, check spam and any old address you used when you signed up.

How we track I3 Broadband

The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for I3 Broadband, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for I3 Broadband, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.

When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. I3 Broadband doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
