How to fix Coursera not working

Clear site data for Coursera
In Chrome, open Settings, then Privacy and security, then Delete browsing data. Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files, set Time range to All time, and confirm; then reload the site and sign in.

Coursera is an online learning platform where students and working professionals take courses and degree programs from universities and companies. An outage interrupts video lectures, quizzes, assignments, and certificate downloads.

Video playback breaks first. Is Coursera down right now?

Why does a lecture video stall or show a playback error?

One lecture that freezes while other videos in the same course play points to the file or the delivery path rather than your connection. Reload the page and try a different browser or the mobile app. If every video stalls, test another streaming site on the same network, because a slow link or a strict office firewall will do exactly the same thing.

My quiz answers won't save or submit. What should I try?

Answers save as you go only while the page holds a connection, so a drop mid-quiz can leave the submit button dead. Copy your answers somewhere safe and re-enter them after a reload, before the timer runs out. Switch off a VPN or content blocker if the page hangs on submit, and message support with the course name if the deadline passes because of it.

Where do I find my certificate if the course page won't load?

Certificates sit under Accomplishments in your account, separate from the course itself, so you can open and download one even when a lecture page fails. Sign in and pull the certificate from your profile list. If nothing is there, the course may still be waiting on peer reviews or a verified grade.

Why is Coursera Plus missing after I paid, or why did my card get declined?

A subscription is tied to the account you used at checkout, so buying on a different email or through the mobile app can leave the plan missing on the account you're browsing. Check Settings for the active plan and confirm the charge with your bank. Declines usually come from a card block or a billing address mismatch. Update the card in Payment Methods and retry.
