How to fix Euronet not working
Euronet is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Check the card's ATM and foreign use switches
Open your bank's app. Find the card controls, usually under Cards or Manage card, and turn on ATM withdrawals and foreign transactions if either is off. Some banks block cash withdrawals abroad by default until you confirm them in the app, which is why a card that works at home can fail here.
Try a second Euronet ATM
Machines run out of cash or lose their network link, and one bad terminal says nothing about your card. Use another Euronet ATM on the same street or nearby; if that one works, the first machine was the problem.
Clean the chip and reinsert the card
A smudged chip stops the reader cold. Wipe the gold contacts with a dry cloth and push the card in until it clicks. Keep it there until the screen tells you to remove it, because pulling early can make the machine keep it.
Use the support number on the machine
If the ATM keeps your card or shows a decline you cannot explain, call the support number printed on the machine before you leave. Note the machine's location and the time; the operator can check the terminal and tell your bank what happened. Your bank can also lift a block that the ATM cannot see.
While Euronet is down: what to use instead
- Your bank's ATM Use an ATM operated by your bank or another local bank if you need cash.
- Bank branch Visit a branch that offers cash withdrawals when nearby ATMs are unavailable.
- Card payment Pay by card at shops, restaurants, or services that accept card payments instead of withdrawing cash.
- Card issuer support Contact the bank that issued your card if the problem affects withdrawals or card authorization.

- Clear your browser cache and cookies, or temporarily disable security software that might block secure connections to the Euronet portal. You can also try accessing Euronet in an incognito window.
- Check

- Clear the cache in Safari or Chrome, and disable any active VPNs or extensions that could interfere with Euronet transactions. Restarting your browser or Mac can also resolve connection glitches.
- Check
- Try loading the Euronet website in a different browser or use network diagnostics to run a traceroute to the Euronet server. Check if other secure financial websites load normally.

- Fix
- Clear the Euronet app cache and data in your Android settings, and make sure the app is updated to the latest version from the Google Play Store. If using a browser, try switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data.
- Check
- Check if the Euronet app opens or displays connection errors on both Wi-Fi and mobile data. You can also check recent reviews on the Google Play Store for reports of outages.
Euronet on iPhone and iPad
- Fix
- Update the Euronet app from the App Store or offload and reinstall it to clear corrupted data. If accessing Euronet via Safari, clear your history and website data in the iOS settings app.
- Check
- See if the Euronet app loads on cellular data instead of Wi-Fi to rule out local network issues. Check the iOS App Store to see if other users are reporting recent login failures.
What happens when Euronet goes down
Euronet runs ATM and payment processing services, including money transfer brands, so travelers, merchants, people sending money, and prepaid customers rely on it. An outage interrupts cash withdrawals and money transfers, and card payments can fail at the terminal; the status at the top of each page shows whether user problem reports are above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours, and the site does not ping or probe the service.
At an ATM, a withdrawal can fail after your card is read, and the screen may show a decline while no cash comes out. Cash access breaks first. An ATM needs host authorization before it dispenses cash, so card payments can decline at the terminal and money transfers may stall at the send or payout stage when that authorization path is down. Trouble is more often partial than global: a single machine, a group of ATMs in one city, one card network, or one transfer corridor.
