How to fix Yallo not working

Yallo is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach yallo.ch over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

Toggle airplane mode for Yallo
Swipe down from the top of the screen on Android or open Control Center on iPhone, tap the airplane icon, and wait 10 seconds. Turn it back on. This forces the phone to register with the mobile network again, which often clears a stuck data session or a call that fails to connect.
Check the official status page
Open the official status page and look for a fault in your area. Yallo runs on the Sunrise network, so a listed outage explains why calls or data fail for you alone. If nothing is listed, the fault is likely on your phone or SIM, and you can move to the next step.
Restart your phone and reopen Yallo
Hold the power button and a volume key on most Android phones until the menu appears, then choose Restart. On an iPhone, hold the side button with either volume button, slide to power off, and turn it back on. Open the app again or try a call after the home screen returns.
Contact Yallo through the help centre
Open the help centre and follow the contact options listed for your product. Say what fails: calls dropping or mobile data not loading. Keep your phone nearby because support may ask you to test a call or toggle a setting while you wait.

While Yallo is down: what to use instead

Yallo on Windows

Fix: Restart your Yallo Home Cable or Fiber router and ensure your PC is properly connected via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. If the Yallo portal won't load, clear your browser cache or reset your network adapter.
Check: Attempt to load the Yallo homepage or customer portal; if other websites work but Yallo fails, the servers are likely down.

Yallo on Android

Fix: Update the yallo app from the Google Play Store and toggle Airplane mode to reset your Yallo mobile network connection. You can also clear the app's cache in your device settings.
Check: Open the yallo app to see if it displays connection errors, or check if your phone's status bar shows no signal for your Yallo SIM card.

Yallo on iPhone and iPad

Fix: Check the App Store for updates to the yallo app, or restart your iPhone to refresh the connection to the Yallo cellular network. If issues persist, try resetting your iOS network settings.
Check: Verify if the yallo app fails to load your subscription details or if your iPhone displays 'No Service' for the Yallo network.

What happens when Yallo goes down

Yallo is Swiss mobile. Many students and cross-border commuters rely on it for everyday calls and data, so a failure leaves you unable to ring out or get online.

Voice breaks down first. When you try to call the line drops or stays silent, while mobile data stalls and SMS codes for login arrive late although bars remain. You also lose access to the My Yallo account and top-up because login texts never reach you. Outages stay local to some cantons while other areas keep full signal.

Is Yallo down right now?

This site does not ping or monitor the service itself, so it cannot confirm a network fault. For that, check the official status page. To rule out your side, try the service on Wi-Fi and mobile data, then test a second device; if only one device fails, the problem is local.

Why does mobile data stop working on my Yallo phone while calls and texts still work?

If calls and texts go through but pages and apps do not load, your phone is on the network but the data session is stuck. Toggle airplane mode and restart the phone. Check that mobile data is on for the correct SIM, then look at the official status page before you reset network settings.

Why do I see 'Emergency calls only' on my Yallo phone?

That message means the SIM is not registered on a network, so the phone can only reach emergency services. Reseat the SIM and restart the phone. If another SIM works in the same phone, the problem is with your line or account; if no SIM works, the phone or the local coverage is the likely cause. The help centre can check the account side.

Why did my Yallo payment fail when I tried to pay my bill?

A declined payment often comes from the bank side: an expired card or a block on the transaction. Check the saved payment details in your account and try another card. If the balance still shows unpaid after a successful charge, contact the help centre with the payment date.

Why can't I log in to my Yallo account or get the verification code?

Login trouble usually comes from a wrong password or a code sent to a different phone number. Reset the password from the login screen. Check that the account has your current mobile number, then update the app if you use one. If the code still does not arrive, try the help centre.
