Allow Enel Energia online
On iPhone, open Settings > Cellular and switch on Enel Energia if it is off. On Android, open Settings > Apps > Enel Energia > Mobile data & Wi-Fi and turn on Background data, then close and reopen the app.
Clear Enel web data
In Chrome, open ⋮ > Settings > Privacy and security > Delete browsing data > Advanced. Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files, choose All time, then delete the data and sign in to enel.it again.
Reinstall Enel Energia
On iPhone, touch and hold Enel Energia, then tap Remove App > Delete App before installing it again from the App Store. On Android, open Play Store > profile picture > Manage apps & device > Manage > Enel Energia > Uninstall, then install it again and sign in with your account email and password.

What happens when Enel goes down

Enel is an Italian energy company at enel.it, used by households and businesses for electricity and gas services. When it has an online outage, you may lose access to the customer area, the Enel Energia app, bills, payments, and contract management.

Login usually breaks first, so the app or Area Clienti may reject your account, loop back to the sign in screen, or hang after SMS confirmation. Bill pages and payment flows can fail next, especially when a PDF will not load or the payment result never returns to the account. Is Enel down right now?

Why can’t I log in to the Enel Energia app or Area Clienti?

Check the same Enel account on enel.it and in the Enel Energia app, since a bad saved password or an expired session can look like a service fault. If the login page loops, switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data, then update the app if only the phone fails.

Why did my Enel Energia payment go through but the bill still looks unpaid?

Card and bank payments can appear in the customer area after the receipt reaches Enel Energia, so the bill may stay marked as unpaid for a while. Keep the bank receipt and do not repeat the payment unless your bank shows the first one failed. If the payment section will not load in either the app or website, check the page status before changing your card details.

Why is my luce or gas supply missing from Area Clienti?

The customer area shows supplies linked to the codice fiscale and account profile you used at sign-in. If a contract has changed holder, or you registered with a different email, the supply can be absent even though the service is active. Have the POD for electricity or PDR for gas ready before you contact support.

Why does the app reject my gas autolettura?

Autolettura depends on the reading window for that supply, and the app may reject a number that does not match the expected meter format. Recheck the digits on the meter, including leading zeroes only if the form asks for them. If the form freezes after submission, try enel.it in a browser and save a screenshot of the reading.
