What happens when VyprVPN goes down

VyprVPN is a VPN service with apps for Windows, Mac, iPhone, and Android, and remote workers and travelers use it to keep traffic private on public Wi-Fi and reach sites that block their usual location. An outage interrupts new connections and drops existing tunnels, so the sites or apps you turned it on for stop loading.

Login fails first. The app will not accept your credentials, and any existing tunnel drops without warning. Reconnect attempts then hang on 'Connecting' or fail outright. A kill switch can block web pages, email, chat apps, and streaming apps when that tunnel is gone, and the trouble is often partial: one server location fails while another works, or one platform breaks while another connects fine.
