Restart the Black Desert launcher
Close the game, then quit the Pearl Abyss launcher from the Windows system tray if it is still open. Press Ctrl, Shift, and Esc, select any BlackDesert64.exe or Black Desert Launcher process in Task Manager, choose End task, and open the launcher again.
Repair Black Desert files
If the launcher opens but patching hangs or the Start button does nothing, use the launcher repair option before reinstalling. In the Pearl Abyss launcher, open Settings from the gear icon, then run Scan Files and let it finish before pressing Start.
Verify the Steam install
Use this only if you play through Steam. Open Steam, go to Library, right click Black Desert, choose Properties, select Installed Files, and click Verify integrity of game files.
Reset the game connection
If you reach the server list but get disconnected or stay on a loading screen, reset Windows networking. Open Command Prompt as administrator, run ipconfig /flushdns, then run netsh winsock reset and restart the PC before launching the game again.
