Troubleshooting

How to fix Archidekt not working

Archidekt is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach archidekt.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

  1. Reload the deck editor

Save any text you have copied from the deck page, then press Ctrl+F5 on Windows or Shift+Command+R on macOS. If the builder still freezes or card search will not load, sign out from the account menu and sign back in.

  2. Try a private deck session

Open a private window, then sign in at archidekt.com and open the same deck. If it works there, your normal browser session has bad site data or an extension conflict.

  3. Clear Archidekt site data

In Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and security > Third-party cookies > See all site data and permissions, then search for archidekt.com and delete its stored data. After that, close all browser tabs for the site and sign in again.

  4. Turn off deck blockers

In Chrome, open Settings > Extensions > Manage extensions and switch off ad blockers, script blockers, or privacy extensions for a test. Reload the deck page after each change, because one blocked script can stop card images, search, or saving from working.

While Archidekt is down: what to use instead

  • Moxfield Use it to view and edit Magic: The Gathering decklists in a browser while saved lists are out of reach.
  • Scryfall Use it for card text and legality checks before you add cards later.
  • MTGGoldfish It helps when you need metagame lists and card pricing to keep planning a deck.
  • TappedOut Use it for temporary decklist sharing and playtest draws if you need a public list.
About

What happens when Archidekt goes down

Archidekt is a web app for Magic: The Gathering deck building, card search, collection tracking, and shared decklists. Players and Commander groups rely on it to edit lists and open shared deck pages, so an outage can interrupt prep for a game or event.

During an outage, deck pages may hang while loading card images, or your edits may fail to save after you move cards between deck sections like sideboard and maybeboard. Search usually shows pain first. Because deck editing depends on card lookups, autocomplete, imports, and collection matches can slow down before the whole site stops loading. Most problems look partial, and regional routing can make the service fail for one group while another group can still open decks.

Questions

Archidekt FAQ

Is Archidekt down right now?

The status at the top of this page shows whether user problem reports for Archidekt are above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. People send those reports to a public outage reporting service; this site does not monitor the service and does not collect reports itself. If the status looks normal, try another browser, a private window, or mobile data, and check whether other sites load. One failing device or network usually points to a local browser, DNS, or connection issue.

Why will my deck page load but the card images stay blank?

A deck can open while images fail because the browser cache, an extension, or a filtered connection is blocking part of the page. Hard refresh the page, then try with ad blockers and privacy extensions paused for the site. If images work in another browser, clear site data for archidekt.com and sign in again.

Why can’t I add cards to my Magic deck?

First check that you are signed in and editing a deck you own, since public deck pages may need to be copied before you can change them. If card search opens but does not return results, refresh once and try a simpler card name. Save after a small change before making a long round of edits, because a stale tab can lose changes.

Why does the deck import box reject my list?

Use a plain text list with one card entry per line, such as a quantity followed by the card name. Extra notes, odd section headers, or pasted formatting from another site can break an import even when the cards are valid. If the full list fails, import a small chunk first so you can find the bad line.

Why do I keep getting sent back to the login screen?

Login loops often come from blocked cookies, old site data, or a browser session that expired while a deck tab stayed open. Allow cookies for the site, clear its stored data, and try signing in from a fresh tab. If a VPN or private browsing mode is involved, test once without it so you can rule out the session being dropped.

How we track Archidekt

The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Archidekt, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Archidekt, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.

When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Archidekt doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
