12 reports in total, counted in 15-minute windows

No problem reports came in for Classlink in the last hour, and at this time of day there are usually almost none. Over the last 24 hours there were 12 reports. Most recent reports were about login (100%). There has been no spike in reports since 4 November. These are user reports from the US, where most people report Classlink problems.

Troubleshooting

How to fix Classlink not working

Classlink is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Your browser tries to reach classlink.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

  1. Test LaunchPad in a private window

Open Chrome and press Ctrl+Shift+N, or choose the three-dot menu > New Incognito window, then open your school LaunchPad sign-in page. If it works there, your normal browser profile has a cookie, cache, or extension problem.

  2. Allow LaunchPad pop-ups

In Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Pop-ups and redirects. Add your school LaunchPad address under Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects, then try the app tile again.

  3. Clear ClassLink site data

In Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and security > Delete browsing data, choose All time, select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files, then click Delete data. Sign back in to ClassLink after the browser clears the saved session.

  4. Reset the LaunchPad app

On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > ClassLink LaunchPad, then choose Offload App or Delete App before installing it again from the App Store. On Android, go to Settings > Apps > ClassLink LaunchPad > Storage & cache, then tap Clear cache first and Clear storage if the sign-in loop stays.

While Classlink is down: what to use instead

  • Direct app sign-in Open the learning tool's own website if your school gave you a separate username and password.
  • Canvas or Google Classroom Check the class page there when assignments are posted outside Classlink and the sign-in still works.
  • District student portal Use the school district portal for schedules, announcements, and basic account tasks while the LaunchPad will not load.
  • Teacher or school office Ask for the assignment name, a temporary sign-in path, or a copy of the work if access is blocked before class.
About

What happens when Classlink goes down

ClassLink is a school sign-in and app launch platform used by many US K-12 districts, with LaunchPad giving students and staff one place to open class tools. An outage can block logins, app tiles, and roster-linked access during class.

The first sign is often the LaunchPad page hanging, a sign-in loop, or tiles that open to a blank screen. Single sign-on may fail even when the destination learning app is working, because the handoff from the school account never completes. Roster or account sync trouble can leave a student missing a course, a teacher missing a class list, or a new account unable to get the right apps. Some incidents affect one district setup or one connected app, while broader trouble can stop many schools from reaching the service at all.

Questions

Classlink FAQ

Is Classlink down right now?

The status at the top of this page shows whether user problem reports are above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Those reports come from a public outage-reporting service, and this site does not monitor ClassLink or collect reports itself. If the status looks normal but LaunchPad will not load for you, try another browser, try another device, check your school network or home Wi-Fi, and ask a classmate on the same district login whether they can open it.

Why can't I sign in to LaunchPad with my school account?

LaunchPad often sends you to your district's sign in page, so a bad school password or a district login outage can stop the portal before the app list appears. Check the school portal address your district gave you, then try the same username on another district service. If both fail, your school tech staff has to fix the account.

Why does QuickCard not scan in the mobile app?

QuickCard needs camera access and a clear code. If the camera screen is black, allow camera access in iOS or Android settings and reopen the app. If it scans but sends you back to sign in, the card may be old or tied to a different school account, so ask the teacher or school tech desk for a new one.

Why are apps missing from My Apps?

The My Apps page reflects what your school has assigned to your account. If a textbook tile or Google Classroom is gone, sign out and back in first; cached sessions can show an old layout. When the tile is still missing, the teacher or district admin needs to add it.

Why does LaunchPad open an app but leave me on another login page?

Single sign on can fail when the connected app rejects the saved login or your school has not linked that app to your account. Sign out of LaunchPad, then reopen the tile after closing the extra login page. If the same app keeps asking for a password, the fix is often on the school setup side or inside that learning app.

How we track Classlink

The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Classlink, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Classlink, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.

When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Classlink doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
