How to fix Titanfall not working

Titanfall is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

  1. Requeue Attrition from the lobby

    Leave the lobby first. If you hang on Retrieving Matchmaking List, back out to Play > Multiplayer and queue again because a fresh search drops the old dead lobby.

  2. Switch Data Centers on the main menu

    You see ping at the bottom. Pick another Data Center from the list at the bottom of the main menu and requeue, since a high-ping center keeps you on Contacting Respawn servers while a closer one fills.

  3. Verify files in Steam or EA app

    Steam can fix broken files. Right-click the game in your Library and choose Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files because bad map data crashes you out of Titanfall during Titan selection.

  4. Power cycle hardware to clear Titan stalls

    Shut it all down first. Unplug your router and console for 30 seconds, then run ipconfig /flushdns from Command Prompt on PC because stale routes keep you timing out of Attrition and Frontier Defense while a clean handshake lets you connect.

Titanfall is a multiplayer first-person shooter where pilots wall-run, call down Titans and fight over objectives across a handful of modes. You need live servers for every match, so an outage leaves you stuck at the lobby or staring at a failed connection.
