How to fix Google Calendar not working
Google Calendar is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach calendar.google.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Reload and restart
Reload the page (Ctrl+F5, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac), or fully close the app and open it again.
Try another connection
Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. If it works on one and not the other, the problem is your network, not Google Calendar.
Update the app
Install the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. Old versions can stop connecting after a server-side change.
While Google Calendar is down: what to use instead
- Apple Calendar Use it on an iPhone or Mac to add events and reminders that sync through iCloud while Google Calendar will not open.
- Microsoft Outlook calendar Use its calendar in a browser or desktop app when you need to check events and send invitations from another account.
- Web version Open the calendar in a desktop browser when the mobile app crashes or will not load and the outage seems limited to the app.
- Paper diary Write down appointments and call people to confirm changes when you cannot reach shared calendars.

How we track Google Calendar
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Google Calendar, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Google Calendar, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. This is separate from Google Calendar's official status page: user reports tend to show a problem early, while the official page confirms the cause. If the two disagree, check both.
