What happens when eToro goes down

eToro is a social trading and investing platform for stocks and crypto, where people follow other traders and track a portfolio. Traders and long-term investors rely on the app and website to place orders and manage positions, so an outage interrupts a trade or a portfolio check when timing matters.

Login fails first. The sign-in screen hangs and the portfolio sits on a loading spinner while the rest of the app stalls. If you are already signed in, quotes and portfolio values can freeze while orders reject or stall when you try to buy or sell. Deposits and withdrawals can fail at the payment step, and copy trading stops updating until the service recovers; trouble can be regional or partial, so the website may work while the app does not, or only some accounts see failures.
