What happens when Tango goes down

Tango is a live streaming and video chat app where people broadcast from their phones, watch hosts, and send virtual gifts. An outage takes the stream and the messages down together, for hosts and viewers alike.

Live rooms fail first. The video freezes on a single frame, audio drifts out of sync with the host, and the app throws you back to the feed halfway through your own broadcast. Gifts and coins stall next: a purchase spins, your balance does not move, and the host never sees the gift land. Direct messages and one-to-one video calls break on their own schedule, so a room can die while chat still works, and trouble usually stays regional or partial, which is why a friend on another network may see none of it.
