Fidelity outages and problems
In the past 24 hours, 134 user reports came in for Fidelity. Counting only the 15-minute windows with a spike big enough to count as an outage, that comes to 100.00% uptime for the day.
The busiest 15-minute window had 8 reports, about 5 hours ago. That stays below our outage threshold, so it doesn't count as downtime.

How to fix Fidelity not working
Fidelity is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach fidelity.com over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Check the Fidelity report level
Open the status page and read the note at the top before you change anything. It shows whether problem reports for Fidelity are above their usual level, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours, and it does not ping the service.
Open Fidelity in a private browser window
Open a private window in your browser, then sign in to the same account. Chrome uses Ctrl+Shift+N on Windows or Command+Shift+N on Mac, while Safari uses File > New Private Window; if the site loads there, the problem sits in the app or the device network.
Force quit and update the Fidelity app
Swipe the app away in the iOS app switcher or open Android Settings > Apps > Fidelity > Force stop, then check the App Store or Play Store for an update. A stale app can fail at the login screen even when the service is up.
Clear Fidelity app data or reinstall
On Android, open Settings > Apps > Fidelity > Storage & cache > Clear cache first; if the crash or blank screen continues, use Clear storage, which removes saved logins. On iPhone, delete the app and install it again from the App Store, then sign in with your username and password.
While Fidelity is down: what to use instead
- Fidelity website Open the website in a browser if the app will not load and you need to check balances or place a trade.
- Customer service line Call the phone line if the website fails too.
- Charles Schwab Use another brokerage if the outage blocks a trade you need to place.
- Your bank card Use a card from another bank if a purchase is waiting and you cannot reach cash management features.

What happens when Fidelity goes down
Fidelity is an investing platform for brokerage accounts and workplace retirement plans, and individual investors and retirement savers check balances and place trades through its website and app. An outage cuts off login and order entry, so a routine portfolio check or a time-sensitive trade can stall.
Login breaks first. The app hangs when you sign in, and the website loops back to the password screen. Balances can load blank or stale, and quote pages freeze while other pages open. Trading and transfers stall next because the order ticket will not price or submit and a transfer can sit pending with no confirmation; problems can hit one platform or one region, so the service looks partly up.

How we track Fidelity
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Fidelity, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Fidelity, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Fidelity doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
