How to fix Dataprev not working
Dataprev is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:
Your browser tries to reach portal.dataprev.gov.br over your own connection, right now. Nothing is sent to us or stored.
Reload the Dataprev portal
Open https://portal.dataprev.gov.br and force a fresh load. Press Ctrl+F5 on Windows or Linux, or press Command+Shift+R on macOS.
Clear the portal data
In Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and security > Third-party cookies > See all site data and permissions, search for dataprev.gov.br, and delete the saved data. In Edge, use Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data > See all cookies and site data, then reopen the portal.
Test without extensions or VPN
A blocker, certificate scanner, VPN, or work proxy can stop a public Brazilian government page from loading its scripts. In Chrome, open chrome://extensions and turn extensions off, then disconnect the VPN and try the site again.
Flush local DNS
If only this address fails, your device may have a bad cached lookup for portal.dataprev.gov.br. On Windows, open Command Prompt and run ipconfig /flushdns; on macOS, open Terminal and run sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder.
While Dataprev is down: what to use instead
- Portal gov.br Use it if your task is a federal login, profile check, or access to another government service that does not depend on the Dataprev page.
- Meu INSS Use the app or site for INSS benefit checks, extracts, requests, and appointment options while the main portal is failing.
- Central 135 Call 135 for INSS service guidance or scheduling when you cannot finish the same request online.
- INSS agency Use an in-person visit for cases that need documents checked or a service protocol, especially if online access keeps timing out.
What happens when Dataprev goes down
Dataprev is Brazil's federal public technology company for social security and other government information systems. Agencies, workers, retirees, and benefit applicants rely on it, so an outage can interrupt benefit queries, registration data checks, and service requests tied to those systems.
During a Dataprev problem, the portal may fail to load, connected sign-in can stall, and benefit or registration lookups can time out before records appear. Public pages tend to show trouble first because people hit blank pages, frozen forms, or searches that never return. Some incidents are partial; one consultation service can be down while the main portal still opens. Reports may cluster in parts of Brazil when a local office, state network, or connected government system has the fault.

How we track Dataprev
The status on this page comes from user-submitted problem reports for Dataprev, counted in 15-minute windows over the last 24 hours. Each window is compared with the normal level for Dataprev, so a few complaints on a quiet day don't trigger anything, but a sudden jump well above normal does.
When reports climb well above normal, the status here changes to partial outage or major outage and the chart moves with it. Dataprev doesn't publish a public status page that we know of, so user reports are often the quickest sign that something is wrong on their side.
