How to fix Kraken not working

Kraken is up on our end, so if it won't work for you, the problem is most likely on your side. Work through these in order:

Open status.kraken.com in a new tab and look for trade or funding incidents, because a stuck order or failed deposit often clears after it resolves. Wait before you retry.
Resync Kraken 2FA codes
You see Invalid sign-in when your phone clock drifts, so the 6-digit code expires before it validates. Open your authenticator app and tap Settings > Time correction for codes > Sync now, then type the fresh code on the sign-in screen.
Update Kraken Pro and clear cache
If charts freeze or balances fail to load, stale app data causes the hang. You can fix it on Android with Settings > Apps > Kraken > Storage > Clear Cache, then get the latest build from the Play Store.
Rebuild Kraken API keys
When third-party bots still fail to place orders while the website works, a bad key blocks the connection. You can revoke the old key under Settings > API and make a fresh one for trade and query.

What happens when Kraken goes down

Kraken is a crypto exchange where active traders and businesses that use its API trade spot and futures markets and move fiat or crypto. An outage interrupts order entry, portfolio checks, deposits, and withdrawals.

During a broad outage, the first sign is often a failed or hanging login after two-factor authentication, and balances can show stale numbers while the markets tab refuses to load. Order placement comes next: open orders may not appear and new orders can be rejected, while the order book freezes even as prices move elsewhere. Deposits and withdrawals stay pending.
